She couldn't believe it.
He turned their backs on them.
He abandoned them. Abandoned her.
That traitorous, good-for-nothing coward!
The three, powerful guardians immediately overpowered the intruders. Their axes, spears, swords and pistols were no match for the powers the other men possessed. Emma's companions were badly hurt; luckily, she had still been in good condition, nonetheless scathed. Perhaps, even if he had stayed, the heist would have still been a failure, and they all could have ended in the same, horrible fate.
At least he would have died trying.
At least he wouldn't have ran away when his friends needed him most.
At least he wouldn't have betrayed them!
But he did. That was the truth, and that's what made it so much more painful.
-AN: I want to make a series about the Sky Kingdom bros, and their times spent with Emma. Will be a series of one-shots, I guess. Consider this a prologue or something of the sort. I still need to study for Physics!
