Hi Everyone this is my new story. I have never written for Walking Dead before, it is my obsession right now. I know it's just NCIS right now but in the next chapter you will see things from The Walking Dead. The team will meet up with Rick's group.

Eight years ago I graduated from Ohio State with the intensions of being a film producer. Then within the summer that followed my wife vanished into this air and after months of endless searching we finally declared her dead. Eight years ago I had everything, now as I sit at my desk in the Bullpen of the NCIS headquarters I think about all I have missed these last eight years. I don't really believe she is dead, I mean her body has never been found, there is literally no trace. As a cop and now an agent I have learned that evidence is always left somewhere. Gibbs is sitting at his desk sipping at the ever present coffee while McGee is attempting to do some computer thing, Ellie our newest addition to the team is busy texting her NSA husband. "Boss when's mail getting here?" I asked.

"What do I look like the post office?" He replied looking back down at his paper work. Within half an hour a new mail boy strode past us.

"Agent McGee, I was asked by a lady downstairs to give this to you." Tim grabbed the little USB drive from the new kid and plucked it into the computer. he set it to go to the big screen, all of a sudden images of my life, my past flood the screen.

"What the?" McGee questioned.

"Tony?" Gibbs asked me.

"Boss I... I don't know who would give this to McGee or why."

"Who is she?" He asked pointing to her.

"No one."

"Not buying it." He responded. I huffed out a sign before speaking again.

"Her name was Kelly and she was my wife. She died end of story." I said quickly hoping they would drop it.

"You were married?" Ellie piped in. I sighed and ran my hand over my face.

"Yes we married right out of high school. No we did not have a pregnancy. Yes we were very in love. Yes things ended tragically, no I really don't want to talk about it." I couldn't believe this was happening. Was the world trying to get back to me on this very hard day?

"Well you need to talk about it now Tony." Gibbs said sounding nicer than normal. I looked at him in surprise.

"What do you want to know?" I questioned.

"What happened to her?" He asked this time.

"She just vanished, I don't really know what happened. She went to work one morning and they called me a few hours later asking where she was. I never saw her again, or her mother. They were both just gone. Next thing I knew we were investigating and after months and months of searching I had to declare her dead." I explained.

"There was no evidence?" Tim questioned.

"None, it's like it was a professional job. I don't know I try not to think about it much."

"When did it happen?" Ellie asked concerned.

"Eight years ago today." As the words were out of my mouth the alarms in the building began to blare and bright strobe lights flashed. Director Vance stood on the top platform and spoke over the noise.

"Everyone please remain calm, this is not a drill. The country is under attack, a virus that you may have heard about in the news has spread. Please find your loved ones. Thank you for all the work you have done." Gibbs bolted from his chair and ran towards the stairs that lead to the Autopsy floor. I followed him hoping to find Ducky.

"Duck?" Gibbs hollered as he entered the cold sterile room.

"Over here?" He rushed out, he was stood over by the body cooler pressed one of the doors closed. "The body woke up and I don't know what's going on." Gibbs and I walked to it and had ducky move to the far side of the room. Our pistols at the ready. Gibbs swung open the cooler door and the body of a sailor who had recently been shot dead stumbled out and stalked towards us. His eyes a gross color and the snarling moans escaping his lips alerted me to danger. I shot my pistol aiming at the head. He fell down in one fell swoop.

"Walkers." I said allowed. It sounded weird on my lips as if I were speaking about some movie or TV show I loved.

"What the hell DiNozzo?" Gibbs barked out.

"The undead come back to eat brains and people and all of that. We gotta get outta the city boss. We should go south, we can survive the winters much better if we leave the north." I told them. "Let's grab Abbs and get away from here. Ducky where is the autopsy Gremlin?"

"Mr. Palmer had today off, Breena had a doctor's appointment this morning." He stated.

"They are on their own we can't go in search of them."

"Gibbs I'm sorry I have to go. I have to find Jake." Bishop said from her spot closest to the door.

"Bishop there is no way to know if he is even still alive we gotta leave."

"Well I can't just go without knowing. I'm sorry, good luck out there. Gibbs Tony it was nice working with you. Tim thank you for all your advice. Ducky..." She said rushing to him to hug him. "Goodbye." After a quick hug to us all she took off in search of her husband. We grabbed Abby from her lab, who was oblivious to what was going on. Her music blaring far too loud for anyone. Gibbs smashed the player with his hand turning it off in the process. He shoved flat shoes he knew she kept under her desk and tossed a pair of jeans at her. She looked at him weird before she noticed the alarms.

We hopped into the company car and drove to Gibbs house. "Boss?"

"Survival gear in my truck its ready to go anytime. Extra fuel, food, clothes, firewood. We are taking two cars." He hopped out and grabbed a few more things from his house. The dead were wandering the street getting closer and closer with each passing moment. I prayed Gibbs would hurry up. Finally after what seemed like hours he emerged from his house with a few more weapons. The truck was loaded and both vehicles were off. We didn't look back as the world as we knew it was now over. The DC skyline disappearing in the distance.
