Hey, Shyann-Chan here! This is my first story created. This story isn't based on a fanfiction. Please don't be mad, enjoy my story and leave reviews Talk to you guys later.
I was born into royalty; well at least I thought I was.
"Anna wake up!" A voice shouted. I opened my eyes, sat up in bed and rubbed my head. I looked at where the shout came from, standing at the door was my servant Mercury staring at me angrily.
"What?!" I shouted back.
"Today's the grand ceremony and trust me, you're not going to screw it up like last time!" She said as she slammed the door. Even though Mercury was my servant, she treated me like a filthy peasant. Today is what people would call the 'biggest' day of my life but I wouldn't think so. All I'm supposed to do is sit in a large room, talk to royal families from other countries and watch them argue about whose son I'm going to marry. I didn't want to get married but I had no choice. I tried to talk my parents out of this idea but they would always change the subject.
Last night at dinner, I told them that I was strong, intelligent and kind enough to run a kingdom by myself. My mother's face turned as pale as day, my father choked on his salad and Mercury laughed like a hyena. It seemed like a joke to them but I was actually serious. That one day I'll be a queen that could control a whole kingdom by herself without anyone by my side.
I got out of bed and stood in front of a mirror. I had long blue hair that reached to the back of my ankles. My thinly plucked eyebrows were shaped into a deceivingly perfect arch that followed the slight curve of my eye. My eyes were the color of an Amber Stone. My face was the shape of an oval, I had a button shaped nose and my lips were the shape of a heart. I have a light skin complexion and I was 5'2 feet tall. Mercury would call me a 'late bloomer' because I am flat-chested. People would call me beautiful but I wouldn't think that.
There were no signs that I looked my parents. I didn't have my mother's beautiful brown hair or my father's green sparkly eyes. They had funny shaped ears, which I didn't have. Come to think of it, I was completely different from them. They accepted me even though I didn't look like them. Mother told me that my birth certificate in the castle records was proof I was their child. Mercury had weird looking ears too but the thing was everyone in the kingdom except for the human servants and me, had them.
Mother told me that they found Mercury in an abandoned mine and they brought her home to become a servant. Mercury hated me from since we were children but I think she has changed now. She's like an older sister to me. She might not love me in that way but I love her more than anything.
I was lost in my thoughts until my room door was busted open.
"What the hell is taking you so long!?" Mercury shouted at me.
"I was just thinking about some stuff..." I said.
"There is no time for thinking, hurry up and put on a dress," She said taking out a white sleeveless corset dress. She took off my nightgown and forced me into the dress. I scream as if I was being murdered. She pulled on the corset strings.
"I hate corsets they're freaking painful!" I cried.
"Deal with it." She said as she pulls even tighter.
"Ahhh!" I screamed out. My face turned into a deep shade of red and Mercury laughed as she saw me.
"It's not funny!" I said angrily.
"Of course it's not funny." Mercury said sounding concerned.
"It's hilarious!" She busted out laughing again.
I stopped myself from throwing my hands around her neck to choke her and end her life. She combed my hair into two pigtails and placed a flower on each one. She placed a flower crown made out of white roses onto my head. She put pink lipstick onto my lips.
"You look so pretty Anna!" Mercury said.
"No I don't!" I shouted. Mercury grabbed my hands and looked me in the eyes. I was surprised by this motion because Mercury never touched me unless she was helping me change.
"Anna, promise me you won't embarrass mom and dad again."
"Mom and dad?" I asked sounding confused.
"I mean the king and queen, sorry..." Mercury said looking away from me for a bit. I never heard Mercury make a mistake and call my parents, the king and queen, mom and dad. I guess she missed her parents and that she was closer to my parents than me, she was a part of our family.
"I won't embarrass them." I said. She looked at me in disbelief.
"What?" I asked.
"I don't believe you." She said.
"Last ceremony disaster wasn't my fault!" I shouted.
"Whose was it?" She asked.
"Lady Orianna! She was acting like a total -!" Mercury stopped me before I finished my sentence.
"Doesn't mean you can throw punch all over her dress!" Mercury screamed at me. I didn't want to listen to her anymore so I started to ignore her.
"I'm begging you, please don't embarrass them again," Mercury said sounding like she was going to cry.
"Fine." I said with my back turned to her. Mercury sighed and walked towards the door. She walked towards the stairs leading down into the palace hall. I followed behind her. She placed a pair of white heels onto my feet. She opened the doors.
"Introducing our princess, Anna Rosario Godfrey." Mercury shouted. I walked down the stairs gracefully. My father took my hand, walked me to my princess throne and I sat down. I surveyed the room, two escape routes, both full of guards, over hundreds of guys chosen to be candidates to marry and one Mercury. This was going to be a long night full of boredom, I had to find something exciting to do.
