The Third Generation Part 8: Gabriel
Chapter 1
160,000 ft above the city of Millertown, Wyoming floated a teenager. The teenager was white, 15 years old, about 5'6", with green hair and glowing green eyes wearing a white jumpsuit and cape with black belt, boots, and gloves. The teenager was Gabriel Fenton, son of Jerry Fenton and Marie Ferrier, and grandson of Danny Phantom: Earth's Greatest Hero, and Vlad Plasmius: Earth's First Supervillain. Gabriel had a large smile on his face and his phone in his hand as he stopped floating and fell from the sky. The wind roared through his ears as he descended from the clouds and Millertown grew larger as he came closer to the ground. Gabriel looked into the camera on his phone and said, "Remember kids! Don't try this at home!" Gabriel then did a 3600 degree backspin and finally reactivated his gravity defying powers.
His descent slowed, but he was still falling fast. Gabriel focused more of his ectoplasmic power into flying and he slowed more, and the ground kept getting closer. "Alright then, looks like I'm going to go down!" Gabriel yelled as he looked into his phone's camera. Gabriel went intangible just in time to fall right through a taxi and the road beneath and a large sewer pipe before he finally stopped falling. Gabriel stayed intangible as he flew back up through the sewer pipe and the road; four cars went right through him before he was above the street and turned tangible again. "And that, boys and girls, is why you don't try skydiving from the Mesosphere, you build up way too much inertia on the way down!" he laughed into his phone's camera.
"That's not the most productive use of your powers, Gabriel," a 6'2" tall man with wild black hair and glowing green eyes behind sky blue glasses in a white jumpsuit with sky blue belt, boots, and gloves said as he floated over to Gabriel. "Oh come on Dad, you really never wanted to do that at least once in your life?" Gabriel asked his Father, "And Mom told me about all those times you made it snow more in Amity Park." Jerry scratched his neck at that and admitted, "Alright, you got me there. But that was still a lot more dangerous than me making it snow a few more inches, you could have fallen all the way to the Indian Ocean! And that's if the mantle or core didn't fry you to a crisp." Gabriel cocked his head at this and said, "I thought you ended up in China."
Jerry shook his head and said, "You watch too many old cartoons." Gabriel switched off his phone's camera and said, "So…what's up Dad?" "Nothing, and that's the problem. This vacation isn't working out, and we still haven't stamped out the Purifiers. They're like weeds, the Government gets one chapter in Kentucky, and another springs up in Alaska," Jerry told him. "Can't you just make a robot that'll track them all down or something?" Gabriel asked his Dad as they flew around. "Gabriel do you even know how expensive that would be? It would trample all over people's privacy online to work, and it would probably become an Artificial Intelligence, and that's even if it worked in the first place," Jerry scolded him.
"Just joking Dad," Gabriel complained, then both their Ghost Senses went off. They looked down to see an eight foot tall glowing figure with a massive mace crush a car, setting off a multiple car pile-up. Jerry blasted the armored figure with an ice ray, freezing it solid. Father and son flew down to look at it. Gabriel could see through the ice that the armored ghost wasn't completely human based on the large horns that he could now see coming out of its bull head as well as the hooves and tail. "Whoa, Minotaur ghost, this guy's definitely a lot more angry than usual," he commented. "But they don't usually have much armor…or weapons," Jerry commented, "It looks like this guy bullied a ghost to make it or there's a new ghost civilization now."
Just then Gabriel saw the Armored Minotaur's eyes glow red and yelled, "Get back!" Jerry and Gabriel flew up just in time as a fireball exploded out of its icy prison. The Armored Minotaur made a bovine roar and yelled, "Halfas! Face the might of Alastor the Undefeated!" "Come on up Ugly!" Gabriel taunted. "Not a good idea," Jerry sighed as Alastor the Undefeated roared and flew up, fire shooting out of his mouth. Gabriel blasted an ice ray to counter the fire and a massive cloud of steam surrounded the three of them. "I can't see a thing!" Gabriel yelled then heard his Dad grunt like he was tackled. "Dad!" Gabriel yelled, then his Ghost Sense went off and he turned intangible just in time for Alastor's mace to pass through him. "What did you do with my Dad?!" Gabriel yelled as he kicked Alastor in the face and blasted a ghost ray at the same target.
Alastor shook off the attack and punched Gabriel back. The young halfa dodged Alastor's mace then punched him in his armored stomach, the armor ringing like a gong as Alastor was sent flying. The steam at last dissipated and Gabriel saw his Dad was blasting a massive ice ray at a fifteen foot tall glowing red Minotaur ghost with a humongous mallet that was blasting fire out of the mallet. Gabriel focused and threw an explosive energy disc right at the even bigger Minotaur, distracting it long enough for Jerry to freeze it solid. The massive red Minotaur broke through the ice in a second and laughed, "Puny human spawn! I am Abaddon the Indomitable! My son Alastor has defeated hundreds of ghosts over the centuries, and I have defeated thousands! Your souls will power us even more!"
Jerry dodged a swipe of Abaddon's mallet and yelled at Gabriel, "These guys are tough son, there's no reason to hold back!" Dark blue rings flew up Jerry's body as he said this, turning his skin dark blue and eyes sky blue while his hair turned snow white and his suit turned black with white gloves. Gabriel saw Alastor coming and focused on using his electricity powers. Alastor flew close enough to swing his mace and Gabriel unleashed a thunderstorm from his hands. Alastor howled as the electricity struck him, allowing Gabriel to suck up the Armored Minotaur ghost with his Thermos. Abaddon bellowed with rage as he blasted fire at Jerry, who blasted a pure white ice ray in response. A massive cloud of steam exploded out from where the ice ray and flames met, for hundreds of yards around him Gabriel could only see steam.
"Dad!" Gabriel yelled, he couldn't see anything then an idea struck him. He focused his ectoplasmic power and swirled around, causing a small tornado to suck up the steam, and then stopped when the air was cleared. "Whoa," the now dizzy halfa shook his head to clear it and saw his Dad, still powered up, holding a now completely frozen Abaddon up. "This was not on my plans for Sunday afternoon," Jerry grunted as he sucked up the ghost in his own Thermos. "It's even better!" Gabriel laughed. Jerry just shook his head.
