"Open! Gate of the Horse; Sagittarius!"
Lucy felt herself flying through the air, before her feet landed on the dust beneath her, making a pile of it float around her for a moment. Within seconds of landing, Cancer appeared beside her, and a bright glow flittering around her before she was revealed to be in a green body suit and a bow in her hand.
Lucy didn't notice, despite the familiar fire, that the figure standing before her was in fact Natsu, who was shocked to see Lucy land in front of him. His fire died out the moment he saw her, and immediately noticed how different she looked compared to when he'd left. It was a good different, definitely a gooddifferent but just… odd. Her hair was longer and her eyes looked much sadder than he remembered them being before. Was he the cause of that sadness?
His heart plummeted at the thought of it.
Natsu almost wanted to drop everything and run to her, but he found himself stuck, just staring into her eyes from beneath his hood.
Smirking confidently, Lucy grabbed one of the arrows from her back, pulling the bow taught, prepared for battle. "Let's kick his ass, huh, Sagittarius?"
"Always, Lucy."
Nodding, Lucy took a step forward, "we won't let you reek havoc on the Grand Magic Games no longer! Reveal yourself!"
Poised at the ready, Lucy watched as the hooded figure seemingly stilled for a moment - as if the Lucy's voice shocked him. Lucy felt herself falter slightly, unsure of the enemies next movement. Though, she tensed when the figure raised to hands, her bow poised at the ready for any lethal movement. Instead, the man only grabbed ahold of his hood, pulling back.
Lucy felt her resolve slowly fall the moment she saw a familiar head of pink hair. Pink hair she'd never forget, no matter how hard she may have tried. Soon enough, the hood was completely back and Lucy saw a pair of eyes staring back at her that she never thought she'd see again. Natsu's eyes.
The fire that had burned around Natsu's hands had long ago faded, and instead, he stared back at Lucy was that same grin he always had. "Heya, Lucy!"
Faltering for a moment, Lucy let out a small whisper; "you can go back now, Sagittarius."
"Yes, of course, Lucy."
Once her celestial spirit was gone, the same brim of gold flittered around Lucy's body before she was back in the same clothes she had been in before. The chaos from the crowd died out as Lucy slowly made her way back to Natsu, almost nervously. He stared back at her, grin faltering just slightly at the expression upon her face and her lack of response.
Though, what was she meant to say to him after not seeing him for an entire year? An incredibly lonely and painful year…
The moment Lucy reached Natsu, she raised her hand and for a second, Natsu thought she was going to smack him. Not that it was completely unjustified. But instead, Lucy only leaned forward, wrapping her arms tightly around him.
"I missed you," Lucy whispered, her voice cracking ever so slightly.
Natsu remained still for a moment, in utter shock before slowly his arms wrapped around Lucy's waist. He relished in the feeling of her by his side once again, a feeling he'd never forgotten but had been deprived of for so long.
"I missed you too, Luce."
