EVIL RISING

CHAPTER 1: FINDING EVIL

Leon drove through the Burmese jungle, as he drove, he reminisced. Over the past couple of years, his life had had a lot of falling outs. After he left Spain, the nightmares began. At first they were OK, but as time went on he began to suffer. His job took him places, pushovers compared to what he'd previously experienced, but soon he lost the spark and got lazy, even shooting another agent. One day he got up, walked up to his boss and announced his retirement. He couldn't live until he finished what he started. And he started off in Europe.

When he was in Spain, he saw many people, Ada, who proved to be a useful ally and Jack Krauser a comrade of years passed. While he was forced to kill Krauser with his own hands, Leon knew that Ada got a sample of the plaga and he knew who she would give it to.

His first order of business was to track down Wan Sera, the brother of a deceased friend. He found his house and delivered the news, to which Wan just shrugged and said, "In his line of work it is expected."

He found a car registered to Albert Wesker in India. By the time he found it Wesker was nowhere to be seen. He asked around and found someone who had seen Wesker walking onto a plane. Leon then boarded the next flight to Thailand. There he found some old Umbrella employees who stated that Wesker had asked them to start up a company in Burma, Leon then only had to check out building leases for Burma until he found the right one. It seemed impossible. Then he started hearing rumors of strange creatures appearing deep in the jungle. He drew up a map and got a rough location of where this facility was. In fact, right now, he could see it rushing towards him in the distance.

Leon pushed the car up one gear, finding it had already reached it's maximum speed. I guess I'm anxious to get there, he thought. He had a silenced handgun in his holster, a shotgun in the passenger seat and a rocket launcher in the trunk. With this, and some body amour under his shirt, he was going to start a war. But no, that war had already been started, long ago. He was here to end it.

He slowed the car to a stop about 500 meters from the facility, behind a hill. He climbed up the hill and took out his binoculars. He lay on his stomach, surveying the area. He saw a small concrete hovel only about the size of two port-a-potties. There must be an elevator down to some labs. He also spied that there was one guard and a surveillance camera. He then began to creep towards the facility in a wide arc. As he approached, he waited for the guard's back to be turned and went in with a punch. His fist was aimed squarely at the base of the man's neck until something hit him in the ribs. Hard. He fell to the ground and instinctively jumped to his feet, raising his fists. But the guard had already drawn his gun. Leon knew he was beat. The guard took a moment to relish the situation. A moment was all Leon needed. He drew his knife, flinging it into the guard's chest. In state of shock, the guard fired and missed, narrowly dodging the blade. Leon grabbed the guard's arm and put him in a lock then proceeded kneeing him in the stomach. Finally, with a blow to the head, the guard was out cold.

Leon shot the camera, turned to the elevator and realized that it needed a key card. "Damn" he remarked solemnly. Then he turned to the guard. A search of the man's pockets revealed a radio and the card. Leon pocketed the radio and entered the building.
