She sat there head in her hands.
Why did this class have to be so boring, she thought looking up at the clock. The hands seemed to be moving in slow motion now as it approached the three.
Finally, the clock hit three and the sweet sound of the bell split the air, interrupting the teacher between her sentence. Everyone stood up, starting to pack when Ms. Hart silenced the room and so proudly announced that she wasn't done.
What did she mean she wasn't done? What was the bell for then, she questioned as she slumped back into her chair, focusing her attention back to the class.
It wasn't like anyone payed attention in the last few minutes. Right as she finished her thought, she turned to see everyone had already begun to pack up leaving her sitting there awkwardly.
Great job Anna, I thought we were trying to stop being the awkward one. She had been teased in the past but was she tried hard to ignore them. After that it seemed to have died down a little but in the last week, she had begun to bring up more attention.
Sighing to herself, she began to rise and slip her books into her bag. There are only three days left anyways. I can sur-
Her thoughts were interrupted.
"Come on Anna. You're so slow." her friend called out, already at the door.
"Hold on. I'm coming, I'm coming." She was so impatient sometimes. Anna made her way to the door, books in hand.
Only three more days. I can do this.
Following closely behind, she caught up to her friend. Merida only gave her a questioning glare when they finally met eye to eye.
"Oh lighten up," she laughed slugging her softly on the arm. "You wanna go get ice-cream? That will get your mood up," she said with a smile.
"Anyways, I could go for something cold. It is super hot today."
She hadn't noticed it much but it did seem unusually hot. Even though they were indoors and the schools air-conditioning was surely on, it felt like a sauna.
"Alright I guess," Anna said smiling, a light sparking in her eyes. "It is a pretty hot day."
Merida smiled a sly grin on her face. "Last one to the car pays?" She didn't wait for a response, bolting down the hall, Anna on her heels.
Anna ran as fast as her feet would take her but her tight uniform was now making her lose her balance. She almost tripped when she collided into a dark looking man.
"O-Oh, Uh sorry," she stuttered, looking back nervously as she picked her stuff up and ran by, desperate not to lose. She was now far behind as she saw her friend in the distance looking glorious next to her fancy car. Although it wasn't one of those super luxurious, fancy cars, it had a decent sleek look.
What was it called? BMW X5? X7? For all I know it can be X100. When it came to cars and what she called "useless" information, she knew almost nothing.
Anna made her way to the parked car, Merida already in the drivers seat, sitting impatiently.
"C'mon slowpoke, the ice-cream's gonna melt before we even get there," she teased, lifting an eyebrow.
"I would'a won, I just ran into some guy," Anna boasted mimicking her slanted eyebrow.
"Sure ya would'a."
"Just drive," Anna half snarled rolling her eyes.
The car made its way out of the school. Out of the horrid place. A break from torture.
