The Water Danced
The clouds were turning grey, black and purple
Just floating there up high
They blocked the sun made it disappear
And even filled the sky.
The rain it fell like sapphire jewels
Crashing to the ground.
They broke and shattered making glimmering puddles
Waiting to be found.
Water around me would dance and swirl
Like they had their own souls,
They twirled and ran from their very spot
As if being controlled,
I watched as they rose up hitting the clouds.
Lightning crashed and hit with everything they had.
The bolts shone bright and went through the water
They stung and shattered as if they were mad.
I heard a cry there in the distance,
A cry of pain of raging sorrow,
The voice it called out to me,
It called and called, asking me to follow.
So I listen closely I listened well
Trying to find the source,
And there it was the battle brewing.
The destination to the course.
A boy stood with hands held high
As the waters danced away
The lightning stung landing down,
The war making way.
And so I watch so dumbfounded,
Wandering what to do,
The boy he wiped his bloody lip
I wondered who he was but I had no clue.
He screamed a roar as the water rose
And hit everything in its way.
I stepped toward him, stretched out my hand,
Is there something I should say?
But then it stopped the war before me,
And the sun finally shone,
The water left but besides the rubble
It's like nothing had been done.
The boy then looked straight at me,
His eyes so piercing green.
My jaw dropped so wide open
The perfect clue, I had just seen.
He was right there in front of me,
The boy we always talked about. He was the one!
Right there just within my reach
The one fighting Zeus, yes, he was Poseidon's son.
