Disclaimer: I don't own the Peanuts. If I did, it wouldn't be as awesome as it is now!

A/N: I was reading the comic strip on /peanuts when I thought of it. I hope you like it too!

Air Art

I'll tell you something, that's for sure.

Drawing on paper is so outdated.

You're limited with 8 by 11 inches of white

And you can't help but to color on the table.

My pencils always break

And my crayons are worn down to the nub.

My pens run out of ink,

And sometimes the paper bites you back!

Yes, sir! I'm done!

I've even tried drawing on the sidewalk.

The colors of the chalk are nice and vibrant,

But when it's too hot they melt,

And when it rains,

My hard work goes down the drain.

Then the chalk gets shaved and shaved

To a point where you are scraping your fingers!

The chalk gets all over your clothes, hands, and knees.

Then Mom tells me to take a bath.

What good is art if you have to take a bath afterwards?

I don't even like finger painting at school.

My fingers get messy and my pictures turn out wrong.

Ms. Othmar would give me an A

But Mom won't put it on the fridge.

More art gone to waste!

But there's one medium I haven't tried.

I can't believe I missed it!

There's the air!

The air holds no limits or required utensils.

It simply consists of a mind, an imagination, and a finger.

So I would put my finger in the air and draw.

I would draw what comes to my desires!

There are no limits!

I can draw a full mural or… an even bigger mural!

I could draw it here, draw it there, and draw it everywhere!

No mess! No clean up!

When I finish, I don't have to throw any paper away

Or clean up chalk or any ink of some sorts.

I can draw it here and put it on the refrigerator.

Or I can throw it onto the ceiling

Or I can put it on the floor as a rug.

My finger would go around in many loops and lines!

Another good thing is the little exercise my finger gets.

It moves at a constant pace to draw what others can't see.

That's the other good thing.

No one can say anything bad about my art!

But if they had a good imagination,

They would like it anyway!

It's amazing!

Sure people look at me like I'm crazy,

But once I tell them what's up,

They'd want to do it too!

Oh, yes sir!

The power of art goes all the way!

But I would say that drawing in the air is the best!
