It was wintertime in Numbani, and Orisa was busy as ever keeping the people safe, while Efi was hard at work making gifts for her family and friends. Since this was the omnic's first Christmas, she had yet to get accustomed to the traditions. However, there was one in particular that she got immediately which was the exchange of gifts. Orisa had planned out meticulously what to get each and every person she knew, except for one. Efi! She had absolutely no idea what to get the girl who had created her, and she was almost running out of time. Tools? Clothes? Nothing seemed good enough to give to her. On one particularly cold day, everyone was inside, as were Efi and Orisa. The girl was tinkering on a new prosthetic for her grandfather's leg, while Orisa was sitting by the fireplace, brainstorming ideas for Efi's gift. "Orisa, could you pass me that screwdriver over there?" asked Efi, both hands occupied with something else.

"Of course, Efi," Orisa answered and handed the girl the tool she needed. Look at her, Orisa thought, how can I possibly get something that would mean something to her? The omnic then had an idea. She would make Efi something! That way, it came from the heart, and wasn't just a cheap gift. Orisa stood up, walking to the door. "I am going out for a bit, Efi," she said, and waved goodbye. Efi waved, without looking up from her work. What to make? Orisa thought, walking through the quiet streets of Numbani. She stopped in front of a rather well known jewelry store, and inspiration struck her. Efi was a big fan of jewelry, but didn't have the time to make some for herself, nor the money to buy any. Orisa decided she would make some jewelry. No, not just some jewelry, a necklace!

Back at home in the workshop, Orisa was hard at work making Efi's gift. Every time the girl would come around to see what she was doing, Orisa would hide it until Efi's curiosity faded. On the day before Christmas, the omnic finally finished her gift to Efi. It was a necklace, made with gold and green beads handcrafted by Orisa herself. In the center, a gold charm in the shape of a heart, with the initials E. O. engraved in it. Though it wasn't perfect, it was the best Orisa could do and was sure Efi would love it anyways. When Orisa came to check on Efi in her workshop, the girl seemed more jittery than normal. "Efi, are you alright?" Orisa asked.

"Oh, I'm fine Orisa, just excited is all," Efi replied with a smile.

On Christmas morning, Efi and her family exchanged gifts. When it came to Orisa, she presented her creator with the necklace she had made. "Orisa! This is so thoughtful of you… I love it!" exclaimed Efi, and embraced her omnic friend in a hug. "Now for your gift!" she said as she disappeared into the workshop. When she came back, she was holding a rather large box with the help of her mother and father. She set it down in front of Orisa, and smiled. "Well, go ahead!" she urged.

Orisa carefully untied the ribbon on the top of the box, and took off the lid. The box fell apart to reveal none other than a small puppy inside! Orisa laughed as she picked up the puppy and it licked her face. "Oh, thank you Efi!" she laughed, holding her new canine up in the air, "I love him! This is the best first Christmas anybody could have!"
