Hoshi Hanabi

Ah. I had read the manga chapter. So I decided to write about it. xD And ... I don't own TeniPuri.

x Hoshi Hanabi x 200 words x 1000 characters

'The sixth counter, Hoshi Hanabi.'

The crowd gasped in awe. Was Fuji Syusuke going to overcome Niou Masaharu, in his illusion of Shiraishi Kuranosuke? Fuji had lost to Shiraishi before... things were heating up on the tennis court.

Echizen Ryoma stared at Fuji Syusuke, both in awe and confusion. A sixth counter? Another one? Where did they all come from? Fuji was a genius, Ryoma knew, but still. Six? He had thought that the fifth counter had been his final one.

And ... star fireworks? Fuji's naming sense was, Echizen Ryoma thought, rather pitiful. The Swallow Return, later Phoenix Return, the Bear Drop, later Kirin Drop, the White Whale, later White Dragon, and the Gate Keeper of Hecatonchires. Echizen rather liked the last one; the mythological reference an interesting deviation from the other animal appellations.

But still. Hoshi Hanabi? What the hell was that supposed to be? Ryoma couldn't help but think, no matter how awesome the Hoshi Hanabi was; the name was still horribly horribly lame.

But Ryoma watched the game without worrying about Fuji's naming, as Hoshi Hanabi wasn't that bad of a name.

Fuji had given Ryoma the nickname of Ryoma-chan, and what could be worse than that? x owari

Tada! Finished! Wouldn't you love to review? XD It's okay if nobody agrees with me about Fuji's naming sense, but I always thought that it wasn't the best. XD -awinchan

edit: Perhaps I should have explained about Ryoma remembering all the counters. XD I know he has amnesia, yes. But it seemed so contrived to me somehow, and somehow... I couldn't imagine Ryoma just -forgetting- it all of a sudden. So maybe this could be considered as an AU oneshot? XD
