Room 101
The walls in the room were filled with white tiles, like the rest of the building. There was one chair in the middle of the room, and on it were straps. Bob's heart was beating very fast as the armed guards strapped him to the chair. All this time, the interrogator was saying, "Everybody knows what's in room 101." He was standing in front of the chair, and Bob looked up. "What's in room 101 is the worst thing in the world," he said. "It varies from person to person." As he said that, he looked toward a corner of the room. There was a television set, and a giant cable was connected to its back. "For you, it is Digimon," the interrogator said. Bob wanted to scream, but the urge was stifled as an armed guard turned the television on.
A high-pitched voice came from the television set. It said, "Prepare yourself for the ultimate digivolution!" Bob was forced to look at the television set. He saw the figure of a boy with tangled hair running toward a yellow dinosaur. Behind him was another person, but Bob couldn't see him very well.
"Stop, dagumon," the mysterious person said.
"It's going through the final digivolution," the boy with the tangled hair replied.
They continued to hold this conversation. It seemed to Bob that there was no sentence that did not use "digi" or "mon" in them. Bob silently wondered how this show could be so repetitive. He tried to close his eyes when the television showed a pink and chubby dinosaur standing in place of the yellow one. One of the armed guards walked next to Bob, and injected some kind of liquid into the side of his face. Before he could realize it, Bob was forced to open his eyes and watch the pink dinosaur once again. While it was fighting some breed of giant cactus, the boy with the tangled hair and the other person, who has thrown away his cloak, continued their dialogue. Bob's ears were filled with words that contained "digi", and "mon." He remembered learning about neurons in biology class, and they only detect changes. He wondered how long it would take before his neurons could not detect those sounds anymore.
An hour has passed since the television was turned on. Two episodes of Digimon have been show to Bob. The show has taken its effect on the guards as well. They, along with the interrogator, have put on earmuffs to prevent themselves from the repetitive conversation. Bob's eyes were filled with tears of frustration. He was twisting in the chair, attempting to break free of the bonds. The third episode began, and Bob could no longer take it. The opening theme, somehow, had "digi" and "mon" in every word, including articles and prepositions. It was during the third sentence, and the fourteenth "digi", that Bob cried, "Stop. I will confess everything. Just stop!"
The interrogator smiled. He made signaled the guards to release Bob from the chair and stop the show. On the guard's face was an expressing of relief. He promptly pulled out a pistol and shot the TV, causing a small explosion. Bob was released from the chair, and he was groveling on the ground, and kissing the interrogator's feet for stopping the repetitive show. The armed guards walked to him, and brought him out of room 101.
Author's Notes
: This is a parody of the Room 101 in George Orwell's book, 1984. Thus, the concepts presented in this book are his creation. This story does present some :cough: a lot :cough: of personal resentment towards Digimon.
