Cheater

For the tenth time in as many minutes, she glanced up at the clock. Hermione began to worry. He was late, later than usual. She tugged on the hem of the red mini dress she was wearing. She had bought this just for this night, hoping that her husband, Ron would see her in it and want to ravish her. He barely touched her anymore since she had given birth to Rose and Hugo years before.

She had high hopes for this dress and this night. Ron's favorite color was red, so she hoped that he would see her in this dress and whisk her back home. Only here she sat at the bar in this restaurant waiting for him for hours. Glancing at the clock again, she sighed and ordered another drink.

"Want to get out of here, beautiful?" a deep male voice said next to her right ear.

Startled, she shook her head, "I'm waiting for my husband."

"You've been waiting for a while. Are you sure he's coming?" the man asked, running a finger over her elbow.

"I am positive. Now keep your grubby hands off of me or you will make me do something that I won't regret in the morning," she said, pulling her wand from seemingly nowhere.

The man held his hands up in surrender, "Have it your way." He walked out of the restaurant and Hermione glanced at the clock again.

Another gentleman approached the stool on her left and sat down. She started to open her mouth to tell him to leave when she saw the door open to reveal a couple engaged in an intimate embrace.

All the air left her body as she recognized the ginger hair and tall lanky figure of her husband. She couldn't see his face as it was plastered to the face of a woman with curly blonde hair. His left hand was tangled in her hair and his right was planted firmly on her butt cheek, holding her to him.

Breaking apart, he noticed Hermione staring at them. "Shit!" he exclaimed and tried to disentangle himself from the woman that Hermione recognized as Lavender Brown.

Hermione jumped up from her stool and grabbed the arm of the man who sat down next to her and fled the restaurant. Not really knowing why she brought the man with her.

"Granger, slow down," she heard him say.

'Great, I had to grab freaking Draco Malfoy and run out of there while my husband is sucking face with that tart Lavender,' she thought. Slowing to a stop, she gasped for breath.

"I'm sorry, Malfoy. I didn't realize what I was doing," she apologized.

"It's quite alright. Not every day that I get kidnapped by a pretty woman in a gorgeous dress," he said as he winked at her.

She smiled at the compliment and they walked through the streets side by side toward a destination unknown to them.
