-What's In The Teacup?-
----
Tick-tock.
Tickety-tock.
"Let's kill time."
----
She wishes she had said what she meant.
----
Tick-tock.
Tickety-tock-tock.
Five o' clock
That still hasn't changed.
----
She would hate to be impolite,
but the tea is quite a fright.
----
"Just watery catsup, Alice," she tells herself.
"A little now and a little then
shan't give my stomach quite the spin."
----
Her vain wish
as she raises cup from dish,
is that she shan't be asked
to replenish their cups;
such a grisly task.
----
Tick-tock.
Tickety-tickety-tock.
Five o' clock again.
----
"Drink up, drink up!
Be of good cheer!
A little more, Alice?"
----
"No, no thank you.
So kind of you to think of me,
but my cup's as full as can be."
----
"Well MINE is a bit empty," Hatter says.
----
She watches,
Eyes of corn silk blue round like saucers
as the fatal shimmer of steel cuts the air.
----
Tick-tock.
Tickety-tickety-tock.
Oh, WHATEVER could be in that teacup?!
