Death is inevitable.

You can't hide from it.

No one can stop it from happening.

Everyone feels it, one way or another, whether it's the loss of some one we love or our own death.

Everyone will feel death.

Mai Taniyama new a lot about death, the loss of her family was the worst shock that ever happened in her life. Murdered right in front of her and she couldn't do anything about it, Mai was never sure if she would ever find anyone else she could love as much as her parents. So she was very shocked when she found herself adopted into a new strange family.

It all started when Mai some how ended up being an assistant to Kazuya Shibuya the boss of Shibuya Psychic Research. By working there she met her family.

Hōshō Takigawa a Buddhist Monk with the day job of playing the bass guitar was a Father figure to Mai whilst Ayako Matsuzaki a Miko whose day job is to work in her Father's hospital is Mai's Mother figure. They could never take the place of Mai's real parents but they were the closest thing she had and she loved them the same she did her parents.

John Brown a ex catholic priest from Australia who left his Church to marry Masako Hara a famous spirit medium. Masako played the role of being Mai's older and snobbier sister whilst John was her kind hearted brother.

Osamu Yasuhara Mai's best friend and brother figure is a very smart college student. He loves to tease Mai any chance he can get.

Madoka Mori Naru's mentor is now married to Lin Kōjo a very strong onmyoji, Mother and Father of two year Isamu who follows Mai everywhere and tells everyone that she is his favourite.

Kazuya Shibuya, nicknamed Naru because he's such a narcissist is Mai's boss and the love of her life. They've been dating for a year and eight months . . . not that she was counting or anything.

Her family may be weird but they all love her and she loves them.

The murder of her parents was that much of a shock to her poor young mind that she had somehow received memory loss from viewing such horrific events.

She wasn't ready to remember her past but it seems that she doesn't have a choice any more.

She was dying.

The only way to live was to remember everything that she had once fought so hard to forget.
