AN: Just a little something I thought of... written from the perspective of Kate. I imagine these to be her innermost private thoughts, and she can only express them via poetry. Anyways, I hope you enjoy, it's very short because I don't imagine her spending a lot of time dwelling on Castle. I think she denies she has feelings for him, but every now and again, the urge to somehow express it just builds up and rather than talk to anyone about it, or (god forbid) tell Castle how she feels, she writes a stanza. If I get good reviews I may continue, so let me know!

The scent off his shirt, the touch of his hand…
I think he knows my secret.
His dangerous smile, his illustrious eyes,
Our bodies are a perfect fit.

He brushes by close, my hair stands on edge,
I sneak a secret smile.
He turns to catch me in the act.
It's his distinctive style.

I see him watching me from across the room,
And suddenly I can't catch my breath.
Everything spinning and nothing else matters –
nothing, not even life and death.

He touches my shoulder, whispers something to me,
And I laugh just a little too loud.
He breathes in my body, and steps playfully away,
Meanwhile, I'm floating on a cloud.

He offers me his jacket, and I reluctantly agree,
It's cold, but I'm not freezing.
One look in our eyes and you could easily see,
We're both a little worn out from all this teasing.

Alone now, but our feet stay glued to the ground.
Does he only want to be my friend…?
Suddenly, he kisses me, without making a sound.
Finally, years of torture come to an end.
