How to Cool off in a Heatwave.

Disclaimer: I own nothing.

Scott is looking for ways to cool down. This was originally created to cheer up a fellow author on here and then thanks to the amazing Sam1 it became a story, this is also partly responsible for the epic story written by Loopsta about a few showers. Enjoy.

It was hot on Tracy Island, boiling hot as far as Scott was concerned. Of course, living on a tropical Island meant it was always pretty hot but today was unbelievably so. Wandering into the lounge once more, he glanced out towards the pool and sighed.

"Scott, don't take this the wrong way but get out of here," Jeff snapped from the recliner he was relaxing in. "You have been in here no less than five times in the last twenty minutes and I'm trying to watch this program."

Startled, he stammered an apology and hurriedly left the room. "I guess the pool is the next choice." He stopped by his room and changed into his swim shorts. Muttering to himself, "I'll risk Dad's annoyance but I'm not putting on another shirt that's going to be plastered to me as soon as I walk out of the door."

Hanging onto the side of the pool, Gordon called out to his brother, "Hey, Scott, hot enough for you?" The younger brother had spent pretty much the entire day in the pool which was clearly the right place to be.

"Just a bit."

He ducked his head beneath the clear water to wet his hair before resuming his position next to the wall. "I figured you'd be inside where it's cooler."

"I was but..." Scott had been about to dive into the cool water when he noticed the wet swim shorts that were laying on the side of the pool. "Gordon, why are your spare shorts on the deck?"

"Spare shorts? Those are my shorts," he shot back, grinning. "It's too damn hot to wear anything. Nobody is here but Dad, Virgil, you, and me so I'm letting it all hang out." He made a move as if he was going to push himself up and out of the pool.

Scott grabbed a towel and threw it at his brother and ran before he got an eyeful of something he really didn't want to see. Gordon's laughter rang out behind him. "Where are you going, Scotty?"

"Wherever you're not," he shot back, not even looking back. He wouldn't put it past his prankster of a brother to be standing there just to freak him out.

Scott made his way onto the beach. He knew there was some sheltered caves on the North side of the beach that should be nice and cool. There he could have a swim and relax. The added bonus of course would be no brothers to disturb him. Granted, there were only three brothers on the island at the moment and he was one of the three.

He soon arrived at the caves and was relieved to realize they were infinitely cooler. The sweat was running down his chest just from the walk down here. He decided to head to the water first and have a nice swim. Just as his feet hit the water, he spotted his brother coming out of the water. Clearly, Virgil had had the same idea.

"Hey, Virg..." His words died on his lips as he suddenly realized his brother was naked. "Seriously? Can none of you keep your clothes on today?"

Virgil heard him and looked embarrassed himself for a moment then he just shrugged. "It's much cooler this way, bro," he replied and headed back into the water.

Okay, it was hot and admittedly his shorts were clinging uncomfortably to him but Scott still wasn't about to take them off.

Scott watched his brother dive under the water and disappear, his eyes drifted down to his own shorts. Maybe he should give it a try? After all, he would be in the water so no one would see and he would give anything to be cool right now.

"Aw, what the hell," he muttered to himself and down came his shorts. Scott stood naked in the cool shade of the caves and for the first time all day he began to feel cool. He couldn't deny he also felt free and with that he jogged down to the water's edge and joined his brother.
