(Gold): Ignotus Peverell: (12 July, 1214—18 May, 1291) was one of the three brothers mentioned in The Tale of the Three Brothers in The Tales of Beedle the Bard. The youngest of the three brothers, Ignotus was also described as the humblest and wisest of them, and had survived Death's cunning schemes due to these traits. He received the last of the Deathly Hallows, the Cloak of Invisibility, which was passed down through his family to the Potter family, and eventually to Harry Potter.

Challenge: Write about the Cloak of Invisibility. Alternatively, write about Ignotus Peverell.

The Cloak of Invisibility was one of the three items that made its way to its Master without any problems. It knew the minute that it had finally joined its Master and strengthened itself after its Master unknowingly gave it a bit of a magic to bond to him. Now it would only work for its Master and those who he thought were worth it.

It may have been made by Death, but Death knew exactly who it would go to which is the only reason that he made the deal that he did with the Peverell brothers. The Cloak of Invisibility would help the young boy and made sure that said boy would live through all the manipulations that he would go through. It would keep the boy hidden in the very moment that it needed to. With the boy hiding under it the Cloak would deflect any charm, hex, or curse thrown at it including the three Unforgivable Curses that would soon make an appearance.

The Cloak of Invisibility would serve its Master and owner well. It was an added layer of protection that would be used time and time again. It would always hide those that needed hid. It knew that being passed down father to son like it had been that it would eventually make its way to where it belonged. It may be a Potter family heirloom, but the only one who could make it wield its full power would be one Harry James Potter. Until then it would still work just not as well as it had for Ignotus Peverell.

After all the only one who could wield it would be one who wasn't afraid to face his or her death. Only then would the true power of the Cloak of Invisibility be known.
