"Ever."
"What did you just say?" Kevin frowned.
"Ever." Veronica shrugged her shoulders.
"No you didn't." Kevin sighed deeply. "What did you just say."
"If you weren't paying attention Kevin Keller ... then I'm not even going to bother repeating myself." Veronica rolled her eyes. Her eyes stayed glued to the TV set. The remote in her hand. Pressing the button to surf the channels yet again.
"Why did you say what you said if you didn't want to talk about it?" Kevin said in an exhausted tone. He turned his body side ways on the couch. "You are just as bad as Betty; Ronnie."
Veronica's body tightened. She pressed the button on the remote even rougher. Her lips sealed in a tight line.
"Why are you fighting with Betty again?" Kevin breathed out.
"We aren't fighting." Veronica grounded out. Sighing deeply. "You know I would never fight with Betty." Her eyes turned to look into Kevin's understanding and compassionate eyes. She sighed deeply. "It's just she's hiding again."
Kevin eyes lit with understanding. "It's her way to coup." He leaned against the couch cushion. "At least she's not allowing keeping the stress locked in."
Veronica sighed. "At least there is that. She does still confide in me over things." Her arms crossed across her chest firmly. "But she still feels the need to hide things from me." She shook her head. "Archie told me about the kiss they shared."
Kevin swallowed. "Betty and Archie kissed." He felt his heart hurt over those words.
Veronica silently nodded. "Archie told me after he told me that he wanted us to get back together. He said that he didn't want any secrets between us." Her eyes shifted then turned to met Kevin's once more. "He said that he enjoyed the kiss very much. That he honesty felt like he could honesty feel romantically towards Betty."
"No wonder why Betty is hiding." Kevin whispered.
"Archie confessed that he doubted that his feelings towards Betty would turn into the romantic feelings that a man felt for a woman. That he still considers Betty his best friend ... and pretty much as a sister." Veronica sighed. "Archie said his feelings for me were fall past the innocent early stages of romantic feelings." Her heart hurt. "He said he honesty saw a future for us." She sighed. "I told him that I couldn't be with him in that way ever again. That I couldn't keep hurting Betty in that way. That I couldn't keep hurting him that way."
"Betty is fine with you and Archie." Kevin spoke up. "She has finally realized ..."
Veronica glared into Kevin's eyes. "She never honesty shared a kiss with Archie Andrews."
Kevin sighed. "My suggestion Ronnie is for you to get Betty into a place she can't easily leave. Tell her that Archie told you about the kiss."
Veronica sighed. "Betty is avoiding me. Even when we are together in a group ... she's avoiding me."
Kevin smiled grimly. "Don't worry Ronnie. I have the perfect plan. Just leave it to me."
Veronica sighed as her head rested against the back of the Keller's couch. "I just miss her."
Kevin laid a gentle hand on Veronica's shoulder blade.
