Armin was walking down the corridors of the school, when he realized the amount of students staring at him. It made him very uncomfortable, yet he couldn't blame them. It was Monday morning; the start of a new week. And for these students, rarely anything happened during the weeks. Yet Armin knew that today would change everyone's mental image of him. He was known as the timid, highly intelligent honor student throughout the highschool with that cute golden bowlcut of his.
Armin was rather afraid of the reactions his friends will make. He hoped that they will not make a huge fuss over it...especially someone in particular. In fact, would this someone even like the haircut he received on Saturday? Armin stopped before he went inside the classroom and took a deep breath. "This is it..." he thought to himself. The teen soon opened the door and entered the classroom full of his friends.
Everyone gasped and silenced. Armin gulped as he made his way to his seat. Just then, every one of his friends stood up and surrounded him with excited compliments. "Oh! Armin, your hair!" Cried Sasha, who had a mouthful of chips.
"Wow! Armin you look great! Why did you cut your hair?" Asked Eren, and Armin chuckled. "I-it was becoming a nuisance... so I cut it short. Do you like it?"
"Hell yeah, I love it!" Connie cries, playfully petting Armin's head. "This means I can give you one of these whenever I want!"
"Please don't do that..." Armin said as he flinched.
"The best part about you doing this is that no one will mistake you for Christa..." Ymir added as she and Christa walked up to Armin's desk. She looked over her shoulder to see Annie in the corner, reading a book. "Annie too."
"I don't think he ever looked like a girl!" Christa defends her classmate. She smiles and takes his shoulder. "I really like your haircut, Armin. It suits you."
"Thank you guys..." Armin grinned shyly, feeling a little more confident. They all kept talking about his haircut and how it was a huge change for him. Armin felt like a new person because of it- maybe he'll become more popular!
Suddenly, Jean thought of something and folded his arms."Say, where's Mikasa? I hope she isn't absent... she surely wouldn't want to miss this!"
Speak of the devil, Mikasa finally walked in the class room. She looked around and saw everyone surrounding Armin. "Hey," She called in a sharp tone. All of her friends stumbled upon each other as they faced her, suprised. They all remembered of how much she protected Armin, so they hoped she wasn't angry.
Yet she wasn't at all. She blinked and took a good look at him. And that was when he became nervous. "What will she say? What will she think of me? Does she like it?" All these questions swam in his head.
"Armin," Mikasa finally says. She slowly approaches him. "You got your hair cut."
"Y-yeah..." He nods and his face begins to turn red. "Do...do you... do you like it?"
Mikasa looks at him again- she loved his new identity. She had always admired how cute he looked. But now that he cut his hair... she thought he was even more cuter than before. So she grinned at him and said, "You look good, Armin."
With that very sentence, Armin smiled. "Thank you...Mikasa." The girl soon sat down in her desk, while the rest of the friends cooed and surrounded him again. Armin's face turned completely red like an apple as they hugged him. He had a wild group of friends- but he was so grateful to have them for they accepted Armin for the way he was.
Armin loved them- but he loved Mikasa just a little bit more.
