A losing battle of emotions

The irritated seeker was pacing around inside of his personal quarters, the sound of his heel-thrusters hitting the metallic floor echoing throughout the room. Usually this behaviour meant that he was annoyed by someone or something.

He couldn't explain or understand why but recently all he could think about was him. That larger mech, and he was a flier, too. Starscream had met very few mechs so large that were fliers, it was fairly rare. Usually he'd keep his distance to those larger than him, there was just something about the size difference that intimidated him but this time it was different. The very first times he'd laid his red optics upon the shuttle's huge frame he'd felt enticed by it all. Those big beautiful wings, big thrusters but most of all, those bright blue optics...

"Frag, no!" Starscream cursed under his breath as he stopped mid-step in his furious pace, his faceplate heating up.
He couldn't believe how quickly he'd developed these kind of feelings. This wasn't what he'd come here for, he'd come to study and to improve and fortify his skills as a future scientist, he didn't have time for this.

He blamed it on those blue optics. Everytime he shut off his own he could see them, and the beautiful faceplate that they belonged on. It annoyed him, just who did this mech think he was to make him feel this way? Starscream stood still in the middle of the room, clenching and unclenshing his servos, trying to will away all of these thoughts and feelings.

It was all in vain. He remembered how earlier that day, he'd asked another mech in his class if he knew the shuttle's name.

"So it's Skyfire..." Starscream mumbled into the empty room following a defeated sigh. He shut off his optics and relaxed his servos, letting them fall to his sides.

"Well, now that I know your name, it would be awfully impolite not to make sure you know mine now, wouldn't it?"

He smirked.
