Okay, so this is my third YJ fic. The first was a one-shot, the second a songfic, and neither were really successful. Well, the one-shot got about four reviews, but one was telling me I was writing in second person and that was against FF rules (say what? of course it's true. It actually was.) and another was from a friend of mine who reviews everything I write if it's in a fandom she enjoys. So I kind of want this one to be a bit more successful. I love YJ, and I don't exactly want it being my Achilles Heel on FF.
There is no slash in here, it's purely sibling love.
Anyway, I don't own Young Justice.
Conner stared in wonder around him. Little white, cold (as he'd recently discovered) particles were falling all around, making him shiver in his jeans and T-shirt. Wally had said his choice of clothing was a bad idea, but he'd decided to ignore the fifteen year old. What were these things called? Conner wondered, reaching out gently to catch some. The g-gnomes hasn't bothered to give him any information on these, so he was completely clue less.
"Hey, Conner!" A young voice called out.
Said teen turned to look questionably at the smallest team mate on Young Justice- Robin. The boy was dressed in jeans and his regular green hoodie with sun glasses, although Superboy suspected he was warmer than him. He was kneeling in the white powder, a grin spread across his face.
"You've never seen this stuff, have you?" Robin asked. Superboy shook his head. "Well, then we'll have to teach you."
And, with that, Robin flung a ball of the mystery item right at Conner, who, out of shock, punched it, spraying it everywhere and getting it all over his black and red tee. Robin and he rest of the team laughed, even Kaldur cracked a smile.
"Robin." Kaldur began, amused. "Perhaps you should explain what this is."
"Sure, Kaldur!" Robin said cheerfully. "See, Supey, this is snow. It's the best thing in the world - well, besides Agent A's cookies -, and it only comes when it's really cold out and it rained. The cold turns the water into ice, but since they're so small, it's snow. What I threw at you was a snowball, which is pretty self explanatory."
"Got it?" Megan asked sweetly. Conner nodded, although he was a little ashamed that he was the only one who didn't know what snow was. Even Megan knew what it was, and she was an alien!
"Don't sweat it, Supes." Artemis told him, somehow knowing what he was thinking."I told Megan last night."
Superboy visibly relaxed, and Artemis smiled. Well, until Wally zipped around her and made off with her bow.
"Baywatch!" The blond girl shrieked, running after the red head. "Give me my bow!"
"You'll never take me alive!" Wally yelled back, only to backpedal so he could avoid tumbling down a sharper slope.
This time, it was Robin who approached Conner.
"So..." He began. "Whadda ya think?"
"It's... Different. But in a good way." Conner said after a moments thought. He suddenly startled, leaning back. "Wha-" He began.
"What?" Robin asked. "What's wrong?"
Conner breathed out again before answering. "I... I can see something... Coming out of my mouth."
Robin grinned, breathing in deeply before exhaling, watching as his breath came out in a gray cloud.
"Nothin' to worry about, Supes. Everything's astrous. It's just your breath."
So what'd you guys think? A friend of mine thought it was cute, and that was what I was aiming for, so... I dunno. Please review!
