I do not own Harry Potter
Author's note: the bolded parts of the conversation are Hermione's own nervousness, while the italicised part is her boldness and determination.
A Conversation with Myself
'Does he see me? Is he looking my way?'
No he's looking at another girl
'Oh, do you think he knows I'm alive?'
Deep down maybe, but until he knows your name and who you are, no absolutely not.
'Here I am waiting for him to come talk to me, why has he not come over to talk to me?'
You go over and talk to him if you're so smart.
'Could have been something I said?'
No, you have not said anything of great conscience to him
'Does he find me attractive?'
Maybe he just hasn't gotten a good look at you yet, you know, he's only been here for two weeks now.
Give it a little more time.
'I don't want to give it a little more time; I want to be with him now!'
Then talk to him already
'Alright I will'
Breathe...just breathe. I walked up to a group of boys from Durmstrang and said:
"Excuse me, Victor Krum? I'm Hermione Granger, and I am to be your tour guide around the school.
Your friends are more than welcome to come along too." I told the group who all astonished at my boldness. His friends patted him on the shoulder and left him. Victor made the motion to lead the way.
"Great. Let's go." I said
'BAM!'
As we passed Dumbledore on the stairs who had watched the whole scene unravel had chuckled to himself as whispered under his breath,
"Smartest witch of her time"
