Betrayal and lies are all that is seen
Peeta in a crowded room;
full of inescapable doom.
They use chemicals on his fingers
And save his heart for last;
his assassins masked.
But they will keep him breathing
Only to make him suffer;
in the end it will be tougher.
There has to be a way to rescue his life
He is what the refugees really need;
it will be with him that they succeed.
Author's note;
This is something completely different than what I usually write; obviously. Px
I wrote this for my school library so I could get a free copy of the third book in the Hunger Games when it comes out in August.
And then thought I should share it with you. The title is supposed to be dark irony.
Now, I'm sick and was a bit short on time (not to mention being out of my comfort zone) so if it's not my best work; I apologize.
Any reviews/feedback you could give would be deeply appreciated, thank you for your time. (:
