Very short tag to Good Cop, Bad Cop. Ziva's thoughts after her scene with Gibbs in the interrogation room.

It was not the day's events. It was not the recollection. It was not my father. It was not his words. It was his touch. Such a simple gesture holds so much meaning. I do not doubt that he knew the significance, it is just his way. It is a little pathetic to think that a mere kiss to the head broke me, but it was the love behind it. My father had never shown such care or compassion. Gibbs had. Eli was no longer my father. Gibbs is not my father either, not by blood. But since when did you need to share DNA to be family?
