You're just an actor.

Acting, it was one thing Lorcan Scamander could do. Ask him to mimic any voice or play any part... no problem.

Real life drama... a whole different story.

Lorcan had never believed all the complete and utter rubbish Dominique had come out with as a child, about love. He'd always supposed it was because she was the only girl in a group of boys and everyone knew girls were just weird like that... right?

Only Dom wasn't usually weird like that, she was brave&bright&idiotic&atotaltomboy, one of his childhood best friends and the girl he was falling for.

He could see the way she looked at his brother though, all sighing&wishfulglances&l o v e. He knew she was head over heels for Lysander, stupid Slytherin Lysander, who didn't give a frig about her. He also knew why she came out with all that soppy rubbish, about love and romance, to feel better. He was starting to do the same.

He knew that he'd never get her though, it had always been DominiqueandLysander even as children they'd been inseparable, the ring leaders and then there had been him and Louis tagging along and joining in on their plans.

They'd always clashed though.

Dominique was fire&temper&excitement&hyper

Lysander was ice&eeriecalm&calculated&fun

Lorcan was nice&loyal&eventempered

It would never be Lorcan and Dominique, he wasn't exciting even for her, they didn't clash.

The reallife drama comes though when Dom gets pushed off her broom by Lysander of all people and Lorcan punches his twin and there is a big s c e n e. Dom tries to get in between them and Ly just stands there, blood dripping down his face because Lorcan doesn't do this, but hey, maybe he's a c t i n g because that's what Lorcan does. Ly punches people Lorcan isn't that kind of person, or maybe... just maybe he's scared of the consequences.

He has courage though and courage is 'being afraid but going on anyhow.' Maybe someday he'll be standing in the limelight with his girl (maybe one Roxanne Weasley) but for now he isn't acting, he's believing he doesn't have to turn to drama in plays because maybe, just maybe there's drama in the real world and this time he isn't just acting the part of the hero. He is the hero, standing up for the girl.

(Though it doesn't feel that way when Dom punches both of them and yells at them for being jerks. She still gives him a hug after though and tells him , thanks but she can look after herself)

a/n: For Rising from the flames' four houses challenge. I'm not sure if this is right...
