Just a short one shot I thought of last night. Alice looking back on her dreams about Wonderland. I guess it was kind of born out of Alice's remark that she would miss the Mad Hatter when she woke up... It's really, really short isn't it? But I had to write it down and then I wanted to put it on here. TT_TT I apologise if you think it's far too short. This is also my first Alice in Wonderland fanfiction, it's also the first one I've ever written that doesn't involve humour/parody. Whhooo. XD Review are appreciated thank you. :D
She called them nightmares and in a way they were. There was something terrifyingly ridiculous about that woman with the gigantic head. The horrific order of "OFF WITH THEIR HEADS" would ring in Alice's ears long after she had woken up and she would have to press her hands to her ears until her father came to comfort her. Strange creatures would swirl about in those dreams and although Alice was a child whose imagination seemed to have no limit, they would terrify her. Even the cat with the wide grin that could disappear at will was a little scary. It was the grin, she was sure of it.
But amongst the horror of the 'nightmares', there was something different. The tea party. When she thought back on that tea party, it was always fondly. The crazy hare and the mad man in the top hat. To anyone else, their insanity would have been more terrifying than anything else in the dreams, but to Alice it felt like home, like conversations with her father. It was something nostalgic.
