Trudy could see that her husband was getting really frustrated and about to lose it. She was no longer in human form but sprit and she could tell things a lot quicker now.
"Adrian," she said, "Calm down. It's okay. I know you feel like everything is out of control right now but you have to keep your cool"
Hearing her sweet voice he calmed down a little bit.
"But-"
"I know honey. I know how you're feeling. But you can't let those feelings get the better of you"
"Did you hear-"
"Yes," she said, "but you still need to calm down"
"But I'm really frustrated," Monk said
"I know you are honey," Trudy said, "but if it were me-"
That instantly calmed him down.
"So what do I do," he asked her.
"You need to find yourself," she explained
"Am I lost," he asked with a slight laugh.
"Adrian just close your eyes"
He did.
"Now what is something that would make you feel better," she asked him.
"You being alive again"
"I'd like that too," she said, "I'd like that too"
"Is it peaceful in heaven?"
"I haven't been able to cross over yet," she explained.
"Why," he asked her
"Because," she said and her voice trailed off. He waited patiently for her to continue.
"It's because you still need me," she explained.
A wave of remorse flowed over him.
"I've been holding you back," he asked
She shook her head.
"No but you still need me."
"I will always need you," he said, "You're the glue that holds me together"
She kissed the top of his head.
"Adrian do you remember last Christmas when you felt like everything was out of control"
"And I got through it," he said, "but if I had you by my side I wouldn't have made the mistakes I made"
He was starting to calm down.
"Whenever you need me," she said, "I'll be right here"
Then she disappeared.
