O CAPTAIN! My Captain, our five-year trip is o'er.

This ship has boldly gone where no man's ever gone before

Earth Base is near, the people here all ready to receive us

But here upon the Enterprise, the damage done is grievous

O, heart, heart, heart

O the bleeding drops of red!

For on Deck 5 my engines lie

Fallen cold and dead!

O Captain, my Captain, the ship's a downright mess!

Even at a space dock this would take a month, no less!

When we escaped the Klingons, barely got out with our lives,

We overworked the engines, pushed them into overdrive

Me ship, she could nae take no more

The engines turned to lead!

All the warp engines went offline

They've fallen cold and dead!

The helm, she does not answer, if she's even still intact,

We'll never hold an orbit if we ever make it back!

"I'll give you forward thrusters

But give me more time!" I said

For down below me engines lie

Fallen cold and dead!
