This is my first story for Rizzoli & Isles. I hope I didn't butcher it. I know this is short but I'm trying to introduce myself into the fandom. Please review!

"He has to stop doing this!" Maura screams. It startles Jane enough to cause her to stop her crying.

"What?"

"This!" Maura waves her arms dramatically. She is really, really angry and Jane doesn't know why.

"What?"

"Popping in and out of your life, up-heaving you when you finally get over him, insinuating that you cannot take care of yourself just because you are missing a few key ingredients in your refrigerator when in reality you've been at my house too frequently taking care of me to actually put any food in your house; besides, I've told you multiple times that you need to eat a more balanced diet." Maura finally takes a deep breath pausing her rant for only a moment. "He shows up after months of no contact and sweeps you off your feet, as usual, I don't blame you for that." Maura looks pointedly at Jane. "Studies show that there is a release of endorphins directly related to the reintroduction to positively viewed stimuli that had been withdrawn." She continues walking around the kitchen, cleaning compulsively and Jane can barely keep up with what the overactive doctor is saying.

"He shows you absolutely no respect. I know you're in love with him and he's charming but I can't keep seeing him come into your life, light up your entire disposition and then break you and leave the pieces scattered." She slams her hand onto the counter and Jane jumps. "He doesn't love you; someone who loves you would not treat you that way. They wouldn't be able to leave you like that because they would know that it feels like not being able to breathe when you are gone. They wouldn't hurt you over and over and over because they would want to do anything to protect you and make you feel better. They would know that – that…" she looks up at Jane and she is breathless.

"Oh, Maura." Jane tilts her head slightly, her eyes sympathetic. Maura straightens up and starts looking around the room frantically.

"Yes, well, I – I…" She watches in confusion as Jane moves around the island and stands in front of her.

"I love you too, Maura." She smiles, tears still hang on her eyelashes but there is something behind her dark irises. Hope.
