H/C Bingo Prompt: bruises
Inuyasha poked the bruise on his arm.
Stupid Shippo.
He should have known better. Stupid fox.
He poked it again and winched slightly.
He has a strange interest in bruises. Most of the time, Kagome or one of the others would look over his injuries. Put some strange healing potion on him and bandage him up. He didn't know why they did it. He would heal up hours later if it was a minor injury. A week tops if it was a major injury. Perhaps, it gave them a peace of mind.
Even with being half human himself, he found humans are strange creatures.
Sometimes, when they just had a minor fight with a demon or Kagome sat him a little too hard. He would sneak away to examine his injuries himself. Bruises in truth don't last very long. In fact, they fade quicker than his cuts. His demon blood made sure of that. While they were there, his fingers run along them. The black, green, and blue shapes that marked in his skin. Sometimes, he could see the mark of claw or punch in its outline. He could see the angry red mark surrounding in black and blue. Blood made the bruises brighter and more alive.
And much more painful.
He dealt with pain plenty of times before. It was almost second nature to him. A long time ago, it was one of the few things that he could feel. His fingers pressed against the bruise. He hissed in pain. The sharp pain made his body come alive. Sometimes, the pain was dull. It was almost annoying.
And watching them fade was always interesting.
Black…then blue…then green…then yellow in matter of minutes…hours. Of course during the full moon was the only expectation but even those bruises faded away.
"Inuyasha?"
Kagome's voice snapped him out of his thoughts. He looked down at her and blinked.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine. What do you want?"
She huffed at him.
"I'm just telling that it is time for dinner," She said as she stomped off.
At least, she didn't try to sit him.
He jumped down from the tree and landed on the ground. His fingers ran along his arm.
The bruise was already gone.
End.
