Disclaimer: I don't own any of the characters nor the series.

She is

She's her anti-thesis. She's everything she never knew she wanted and she's everything she knows she can never have. Like love and pain, compassion and sarcasm, opposites in everything they are, alike in every way that counts. How far they've come, from grudging allies to trusted friends (or something more).

She is instinctively seductive, her grace, her power, her everything. From her darkest scowl to her brightest grin. She has taken me over completely and she doesn't even know it. Whenever she talks to me I hang on her every word, whether I show it or not.

They sit here next to the fire, one in the shadow, one in the flickering light, and find comfort there, in the knowledge that they are with someone whom they can trust unconditionally to be there in the one way the other needs them to be, however awkward it might feel or be said. There was no need to speak this out loud for they knew it, felt it deep within their bones, it was their fundamental truth.

Kahlan snapped out of her contemplation when Cara suddenly shifted and stood while saying "I'm going hunting."

The end.

So, this was my first LotS story ever. I just couldn't help myself! I hope I did the characters justice. Any positive critic will be welcome.
