STORY: The Son Of Neptune

Chapter 1: The Classroom

PERCY'S POV

I woke up in a classroom filled with people I didn't even know.

"Percy! How many times have I told you? You are NOT to sleep in my class!"

I raised my head and stared at the man dressed in a black uniform with leather shoes. He wore round glasses and looked as if his head had been crammed with unnecessary knowledge.

"Percy!" He said again, this time louder.

I stammered. "Uh... Umm... Where am I?"

The kids in the class snickered. All of them looked about 15 or 16, his age, but I still had no idea who they were.

The man lost his temper. He slammed his fist onto the table. "Percy Jackson, listen here! This is MY classroom and I will not let a misbehaved child ruin it and cause chaos. I think YOU need a talk with Lupa. Now GET OUT of my classroom and wait in the principal's office. I'll be there shortly."

I didn't risk any more trouble. I ran out of the classroom and thought about what had just happened. Who were those people?, I thought. Who am I?

The school I was in was huge. The floors, neatly tiled, were shining as if they'd just been polished. Outside of the classroom I'd been in stood marble tables, each saying the name of a person and facts about them. Curious, I examined one of them. Mercury, I thought. Did it mean like Hermes, god of travel? Or maybe the actual planet?...

My thoughts were interrupted when a she-wolf came out of a cave-like room and stared at me as if I'd done something wrong.

Halt, it said. What are you doing out of thy classroom?

I jumped back in fright. This was going to be a long day.

Chapter 2: The Camp

ANNABETH'S POV

Jason, Leo, and Piper rushed through the dark forest to find Annabeth.

"Wh-What... Are.. You... Doing?" said Jason out of breath when they saw her crouching behind a bush. "We still have at least 10 miles to go until we're there. Running into forests isn't exactly the best idea, either."

"Shhhhhh! I think I found the camp!" I pointed to a faint view of a cluster of different-colored cabins. Two tree nymphs could be seen coming out of a large, wooden building that stood yards away from the circle of cabins.

Piper, a beautiful daughter of Aphrodite, hesitated. "That can't be it can it? I mean, our map shows we still have a while to go until we arrive. And where is everyone if this is the place we're looking for?"

"We'll just have to find out I guess," said Leo, son of Hermes. "I don't think I see why a Roman demigod camp would be in a forest in the middle of San Francisco."

"Ditto" Piper agreed.

"Well, we'll have to take our chances!" I yelled at them, a little bit irritated.

"Annabeth, don't be like that," Jason stated boldly. "We'll find him. I promise."

Before I could reply, a satyr, a human with the body with the body of a goat, came galloping over to our hiding spot.

"A faun?" Jason questioned. "This must really be Camp! Get your packs ready, guys. I'll distract him while you guys try to sneak into the camp. Wait for me inside!"

"How will you distract him? This IS Roman Camp, you know. Everyone is way more serious than the Greeks." Piper said. She was in no condition to lose an important member of the team.

"I'll think of something. I am the son of Jupiter aren't I?" And with that, he strolled off, looking as puzzled of where he was as he could.

"Just a little bit too confident?" Leo asked.

Annabeth managed a grin, and the three demigods ran to the metal gates of the camp.
