"Seriously man, you can't keep doing that!"
"Doing what!"
Nick and Joe were back in the room they share after their surprise concert at Irving Plaza, and Joe seriously didn't know what he did that had gotten Nick all nervous. He was fine during the show, everything was fine. Then they did that quick interview with Billboard, and as they were walking back to the car that was waiting for them, Joe noticed that Nick was walking on the other side of Kev. He never did that.
Nick stared at his older brother, not angry and not annoyed. Actually, he found it kind of amusing. And Joe was doing it again.
"That, Joe! Seriously. Look at my eyes or something. Stop staring at my mouth for like five minutes."
Joe glanced over at the door, checking to see if he had remembered to close it, then moved in to kiss Nick. Nick gave into the warm kiss with no hesitation, running his hands through Joe's hair.
"So glad you stopped with that hair straightening business," he murmured, moving his soft lips up Joe's jawline to his ear. Then he pulled away.
"Look at me though, seriously," he said, staying close enough that his hand was still in his brother's hair and he was barely whispering. "During that interview… You kept starting at my- JOE! You're doing it again! You keep staring at my lips. People are going to notice that."
Nick didn't have any regrets or concerns about the unconventional relationship he'd been in with his brother for a few months now. It was just between them, and no one really knew about it. They were good with excuses- Nick likes to sleep with the door locked so Frankie can't play tricks on him, Joe can't sleep in his own room because it's hot and air doesn't circulate there, and so on until the rest of the family just expected the two boys to sleep in the same room. But as much as he loved his brother, and accepted the relationship, he really didn't think it was good for their image if fans knew.
He had noticed Joe staring at his lips, he was pretty sure that Joe had licked his own lips while Nick was talking. He had a pretty good idea that if he noticed it, others would too, so he made sure to keep a safe distance from Joe walking to the car afterwards. At least that way if people did notice, Joe wouldn't be right on him in pictures from afterwards too.
Joe put his arms around Nick's shoulders. "Sorry Nicky, you just have such perfect lips. They drive me crazy, I know what they can do, and seeing them do anything else is just a little upsetting." And with that, he pulled Nick back in to continue that kiss he started before Nick had started lecturing.
Now that Nick had said what needed to be said, he let himself fall completely into the kiss, grasping onto Joe's t-shirt. He broke away from the kiss just long enough to slide the shirt over his brother's head, and to take his own off. He pressed his body into Joe, steering them both to fall into his bed.
Starting at Joe's neck he runs a trail of soft, warm kisses, moving slowly across his chest and down his lean torso, pausing only at the waistband of the pajama pants Joe had on so that he could slide them down. Wrapping his fingers around his brother's shaft, he lowers his lips to the head and wraps them around it, sucking gently at first, building up in rhythm with Joe's breathing. He takes all of Joe into his mouth, and just as he feels the head reach the very back of his throat, he also feels Joe come, and he continues to suck with those pouty lips until Joe pulls away from him and tries to catch his breath.
"See, now that's what those lips need to be doing all the time, not answering stupid questions and talking to stupid interviewers. It's not my fault I picture you doing that every time you speak."
"Fine," Nick replied, "but make it a little less obvious next time?"
