Neal starts writing sappy poems to Kel after her performance and when she finds out she confronts him.
"Why are you writing about me?" Kel shouts as she bursts into Neal's room at New Haven.
"Oh Kel; hello. Um what are you talking about?" Neal stammers as he try's to hide the papers on his desk.
"Please. I know you've been writing bad poetry about me like you did with all those court ladies. Tobe caught you. So why are you doing it?" she asked as she sat down.
"Because you were so beautiful that night, I just wanted to tell you that, but I couldn't figure out how to, so I was practicing and I may have gotten a little carried away." He babbled and finally ground to a halt.
"Well I'm glad you've finally noticed that I'm a female. But I don't want you to exclude everything we've done; everything I've done. Thank you for thinking me beautiful but if you can't remember all the hard work that's gone into making me the person I am today then we don't have anything left to say." Kel finished and stood to leave.
But Neal has gotten upset and stops her.
"If you didn't want people to see you as beautiful then why did you do that performance?"
"Because Neal, I am a girl. And sometimes I like to wear pretty things and be feminine without everyone assuming I've changed my mind about being a Knight! I thought you of all people would understand that." Kel shakes her head and turns once more to leave, but Neal grabs her hand and turns her around again.
"I do understand. I just- I always saw you were a girl Kel, its just that ever since we first met I forced that to the side and focused just on 'my friend Kel' not my friend Kel the girl. All of us boys did. When I saw you the other night it hit me. My friend Kel has grown into a beautiful woman and she takes my breath away."
"Well I guess you found the right words after all." She says before leaning in and kissing his cheek.
"Maybe next time it won't take this long for you to get them out." And with those astonishing parting words Kel finally left the room.
"What just happened here?"
So this is the long awaited sequel to 'True Ladies'. Ya'll let me know what you think about it.
