How Gandalf Really Escaped Isengard & More

Gandalf huddled next to the stone pillar that separated him from falling to his demise. He knew not how long he had been there, yet he knew it had been too long. Saruman would return, and he would come for Gandalf, telling him to surrender to the Dark Lord.

No! He would not let that happen! Frodo needed him. Without Gandalf, the Nazgul would find the Ring, and kill the one who held it. All hope would be lost. Gandalf had to escape, no matter what the cost.

It was then he saw the fluttering object. It caught his eye, and he willed it closer. In a swift movement, he trapped the creature in his hand. Opening his fingers revealed a moth. A simple moth. Gandalf muttered a few desperate words and let it fly away. It would return another day.

"There is no other way! Join Sauron, share his power! Or face death!" Saruman bellowed as Gandalf was tortured about the tower. Falling to his knees, he glared at Saruman. The madness he was saying was inconceivable! He slowly stood up.

A small moth flew in front of Gandalf's face. The time had come. As he backed toward the edge of the tower, he sneered at Saruman, "Sauron shares no power!" With that, he let himself fall.

Grabbing the tiny antennae of the moth, he dangled in the air. The moth flapped its wings as the weight of the Istar pulled down on its tiny body. They wobbled away in the sky, like a leaf trapped in an updraft. The wicked witch of the west theme song plagued the night sky as Gandalf made his get away.

Saruman gazed upon Gandalf and the moth. In a sullen voice, he said, "And here I thought he would've called the giant eagle."

Ya, short, but that's okay. Re-edited. Leave some love.
