When James Moriarty had told Sherlock Holmes to meet him at the pool, Sherlock knew this would be a dangerous matter. John wouldn't be with him as he wouldn't be safe. So nothing shocked him more deeply than seeing his friend, colleague, and lover standing in front of him with a coat.

"This is a turn up, isn't it Sherlock?" John's voice sneered in the echoing pool hall.

"John?" Sherlock's eyes widened with fear. Why was he here? He was supposed to be elsewhere. He stood there with John's gun, confused. It took Sherlock a minute to get his thoughts together before speaking again.

"What the bloody hell John?" his voice tinged with fear and the gun shaking in his hands.

"Bet you never saw this coming," his John smirked at him. Sherlock had never known true deception and betrayal before. This felt like the worst slap in the face ever.

"So you lied to me about everything then, James?" Sherlock spat back on the verge of tears. "Captain John Watson never existed. You made up a false identity then. You did a damn good job fooling me."

"The science of deduction fails you once more. It always fails Sherlock. I am always one step ahead of you," John darkly chuckled.

"So what are you going to do with me now James? You have revealed yourself now," the gun still shaking in his hands.

"For a man who doesn't think twice about protecting me, I know you don't have the nerve to shoot me with that gun. You still want to believe the fairy tale. Sir Boast a lot wanted to have a friend and a lover. You have fallen victim to your feelings."

"You even deceived my brother!"

"He is just as dumb as you are. He isn't as good looking as you are though."

"I cannot believe this," Sherlock murmured to himself before having the courage to speak again.

"What do you plan on doing to me then James? You got me and know everything about me. You have slept in my bed. We made love that I thought was real," he quickly wiped his tear and then put his hands back to his gun.

"Why don't you deduce what I am going to do with you?" James asked.

"You are wearing a large coat for starters. You have something in there."

"Good boy," replied James as he unzipped his coat. Sherlock's eyes widened as he saw the bombs placed around him with a 60 second start button.

"You are going to blow us up then, aren't you?"

"No Sherlock, you are wrong again. I am going to watch you burn," he smiled as tiny red dots flashed all over his face. He stepped closer to him and ripped the gun out of Sherlock's hands. There was no struggle to be had on his end.

"You really are a coward when you are in love," he laughed in Sherlock's face. The bombs were all on a vest included with weights inside and in mere seconds he had Sherlock strapped in duct tape with it.

"Why did you do all of this James?" Sherlock sobbed as his hair was dragged by John to the edge of the deep end.

"Why not Sherlock it is all a great game perhaps? Now I am going to toss you into the pool. If you get out, you will be shot at you understand?" in that moment James started the countdown on Sherlock and tossed him into the cold waters of the pool.

"Adieu," he said mockingly as he left the building. He watched as it exploded with a grin. He took out his phone and took a picture and sent it to Mycroft.
