Trouble Ahead

James Stark crossed the frozen campus to the school. He nodded in greeting to the guard on duty before going up to his dorm. He sighed as he heard Damien and Erik's voices.

"What now?" James asked, walking up to them in the hallway.

"Erik's being denoted. He won't allow me admittance to my own room!" Damien said angrily. Stark looked at Erik, who shrugged.

"I just told him that he wasn't allowed having girls in the dorm," he said simply.

"Aphrodite does not count as a girl!" Damien insisted. Stark raised his eyebrow.

"What does Jack think of all this?" Stark asked.

"Jack doesn't care that a Hag from Hell wants entrance," Jack shouted from the other side of the door.

"Well, I'm not too thrilled about it either," Aphrodite shouted at Jack. Stark frowned and shrugged.

"What does "denote," mean anyways?" Erik asked, turning to Stark, who shrugged.

"Don't look at me," he said simply.

"It means mean," Damien said matter of factly. Erik rolled his eyes and Stark shook his head.
"I have a new one for you: dim-witted ," Erik said angrily.

"Is this all because you and Zoey are no more?" a passing student asked. Erik shot them a look.

"Now, Professor, that's not very manly," Stark scolded. Erik gave him a cold look before sweeping away. Stark shook his head before following Damien into his room.

"What was that all about?" Aphrodite, now human, asked.

"Just Erik being Erik," Damien said, going to sit next to Jack. Stark turned his head away. As much as he liked Damien, it was kind of sickening to see him with his boyfriend.

"What are you doing here anyways?" Stark asked Aphrodite, who was sitting on Damien's bed.

"I came to tell these dim witted useless boys that Stevie Rae has left after some stupid bird and Zoey followed," Aphrodite said, shaking her head. She angrily pushed her blonde hair out of her eyes.

"Why do you care?" Jack asked, nuzzling Damien's shoulder.

"I don't care. I just thought you love birds," she looked at Stark, "would like to know that they have left." She crossed her arms over her shoulder.

"I'm not her love bird," Stark grumbled, although he'd of liked to be.

"So, are we going after them or not?" Damien asked, standing. Jack fell onto the bed and gave Damien a look.

"Not," Stark said sternly. The three of them looked at him.

"Why not?" Jack asked the question on each of their minds.

"Because they figure that we'll just rush after them, so we're not," Stark said sternly before exiting the room.

"Well, someone's not in a good mood," Aphrodite said. The other two nodded in agreement.

"He's very..." Damien thought for a word to confuse Aphrodite.

"Pissed?" she suggested.

"Works for me," Jack said, giggling. Damien sighed and Aphrodite rolled her eyes. If only the Twins had been there to complete the Nerd Herd.
