Rory walked slowly into the kitchen like he did every other day, he would be turning 22 in a week. He smiled at that, he wondered what he would do for his birthday as he went about making a pot of coffee and some tea. He stood at the kitchen window, staring out at the sky. He was in his own little world when he heard the kettle whistle, he poured himself a cup of tea, and then Sebastian his daily cup of coffee, he set the coffee cup in Sebastian's usual spot and took his place in the seat across from him. Sipping slowly at the hot tea. It was a beautiful day... he thought as a tear slid down his face, he looked at the cup of coffee sitting in front of the empty chair. More tears found their way down his face as he continued drinking his tea. He never would know why he kept doing this to himself, he would wake up, stare at the empty space in the bed, walk down the empty hallway, stop and take a shower, walk into the kitchen, make a pot of coffee, make himself some tea, and then he would just stare at the cup of coffee, the coffee that would never get drank, the whole pot would sit there all day, till Rory finally got the nerve to pour it down the drain... but still Rory would wake up the next morning and repeat the process all over again. Finishing his tea, he got up and put his cup in the sink, walking past the empty chair he stopped and stared down at the coffee cup, the tears streaming unbroken down his cheeks.
"I miss you, Sebastian." He whispered to the coffee cup. "I'm nothing without you."
Silence.. its not like he expected the coffee to respond or something.. he picked up the coffee cup and inhaled the rich scent of the warm coffee. Sebastian always used to smell like coffee, it was because he drank it too much... Rory dumped the coffee into the sink and carefully washed the mug out, it had been Sebastian's favorite.. he would be devastated if it broke. He put the mug away and made his way to his bedroom. Once in there he opened up Sebastian's closet and pulled out Sebastian's favorite shirt, he crawled into bed and buried his face into the soft fabric, it still smelled like him... Rory made sure not to get his tears on it and ruin it... because this was a part of his daily routine... this was the only way Rory could keep himself sane... because even though it had already been 8 months, he still couldn't believe Sebastian was gone.
