I don't own Hogan's Heroes or any of the charaters.

War by Schultz

I doubt that Schultz would write a poem, but if he did and he wrote it on this topic it might sound something like this:

I owned a big toy company

The largest in the land

Then the government took it away

When Hitler gained command

I was a soldier once more

Under Colonel Klink

Our country was at war

Quicker than a wink

I became sergeant of the guard

At Luft-Stalag 13

Klink will often times bombard

Me with insults oh so mean

The prisoners though are kind

They help me through the day

We lead lives intertwined

Klink is more enemy than they

Colonel Hogan leads his men

Carter, Newkirk, Kinch, Le Beau

They are smarter than

They will let me know

But I know something is cooking

I can feel it in my bones

But I do my job without looking

I don't bother with unknowns

Whatever they are doing

I leave up to Hogan's men

It's nothing worth pursuing

I hate war again

I want fighting to be over

Everyone to go home

Send Englanders back to Dover

Americans back across the sea

Let's all feast on strudel

And have everyone agree!
