Author's Note: Once again, for formality's sake, I am going to blaze through the introductory information. This is day eight of my Fitzsimmons Six-Word Story Countdown until the premier of season two of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. ABC and Marvel own Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., along with the wonderful characters and the lovely plot, and any mistakes in this are my own due to the fact that I currently do not have a Beta.

I need you to say it.

"Come on, Fitz. Say it." Jemma's words were compelling him to speak, whispering to him, but he was effectively ignoring them, turning his head ever so slightly so he wouldn't meet those soft brown eyes that he surely couldn't resist.

He shook his head, determined to remain silent, but her tone alone practically coaxed the words from his larynx. "I need you to say it."

Even though he refused to look at her, he could visualize the cunning expression upon her delicate features, an expression he knew well because Jemma utilized it against him whenever he consistently refused something she wanted. "Knock it off, Jemma. We both know that look's not fair."

"What look?" The innocence in the way she delivered the line was nearly convincing, but he knew her just well enough to see through it. After a few more moments of his stubbornness regarding the phrase, she grabbed his jaw and tilted his face towards hers. The eyes had the expected impact, but he is also temporarily distracted by the look that could not possibly belong to anyone but her. "Oh, come on; just say it and get it over with." The words captivated him, and finally he could not maintain his defense for any longer, being ensnared by her persistence.

"Jemma Simmons is smarter than Leopold Fitz."

Her triumphant laugh reverberated around the room until he seemed to absorb it all, the sound causing warmth to pulse throughout him. He might have been stubborn about actually saying the words, but her laughter somehow made it worth it.
