Prologue.

12 years, 12 years since I ran away from home, I have sacrificed everything for this and now I have found the missing piece. Now's the time, this is it. Rosette James I know your still breathing I can feel it, please forgive me that I took forever, it won't be long now and you'll be save again with me Toby.

I couldn't quite remember how I got here or why, I must have been so young. Sir Edmond tells me I belong here and should always stay, but I can't help think there something greater out there another world waiting for me because I know for sure this isn't where I need to be. Everyone is so different from me, they either have wings or a tail I have neither. Don't get me wrong this place has been good to me, I just want to know what else is out there if there is anything else.

The people here are family to me I've come to love them, I've grown with them and they've given me everything now that I'm older I'm even aloud to join in with everything including leaving the castle to travel or venture through the gardens with the other girls, hunting, and attend the castle parties. These people have looked after me and have treated me like their kind especially Sir Edmond, apparently he was the one who took me in although it's never came across me to ask, there or so many questions I have that need to be answered I'm scared if I ever asked and the answer crushes everything what then. For now I'm happy and I will stay put in this mad mad place.

Chapter one.

I had been examining myself for the pass 3 minutes, my new gown was outstanding. I was given it for my 18th birthday yesterday by Sir Edmond himself it was nothing like I wore before. It was so heavy and hard to breath in, I'd have to get used to it for now. My hair to was decorated with pretty white flowers right to the tips of my curly brown hair I looked so different. I usually don't bother with all this why should I there was no one to impress. I looked so different.

"Rosa, he's ready for you" Miss Alba poked her head around my door smiling widely

"coming" I replied heading towards her. We reached the end of the hallway and Miss Alba knocked on the double doors then skipped behind me

"you look breath taking" she whispered as soon as the doors opened, grinning because of her I walked through the doors to find him stood up like a gentlemen at the end of the enormous great hall. Breaking eye contact I began to walk towards him giving out smiles to the servants and Sir Edmonds men. I had finally reached him I greeted him with a curtsy as he smiled

"I've told you to stop doing that Rosa" he smiled and took my hand

"I'm sorry it kind of a habit" I apologised turning back to the double doors with him

"Don't apologise. You look beautiful" I smiled again admiring his burning green eyes

"thank you, Sir"

"lets go" He grinned. We made our way out of the Great hall to start whatever he planned for me today, walking through the castles front doors he stopped me

"are you ready for today?" he asked

"ready than I'll ever be Sir" I took a deep breath

"good, were going to have fun today" I nodded not taking my eyes off the world Sir Edmond held his arm out for me to take and I took

"oh one last thing, don't call me Sir anymore" he told me, I had never called him by his name before I don't think anybody has, to shocked to reply I continued walking with him to my surprise birthday present.
