Hereafter
I do not own the Percy Jackson series.
Chapter 1: Prologue
So, up till now this is what's happened in Camp Half-blood & Olympus. On Percy Jackson's fifteenth birthday the oracle, Rachel Elizabeth Dare prophesized of a great war – not as great as the last, but a fight for a special rock. So the war of the Amulet took place, the sacred Amulet was buried under the Zeus cabin, and was also the key to a backdoor that led to Olympus. The prophecy being:
Camps will unite at the strike of a blade,
All but one will assume all is saved.
The warning with come in the middle of the night,
One will perish from a venomous strike.
Two more shall undertake defeat;
And they'll not fall dead at monster feet.
The anger of one will blister the offence,
spreading to all heroes, thence.
Although it's viable to be a win,
The greater loss shall leave a terrible singe.
Annabeth was killed in battle, slashed by a sword with a poisonous blade. Two other campers – one Ares, another Apollo went missing in action, presumed dead. Percy found Annabeth, blood dribbling from her mouth and pouring from her stomach wound, half dead and fighting for air; tears prickled his eyes as he held her, and she died a few seconds after. In blind pain and fury, the hero went on a killing rampage, slashing monsters up here and there. The news spread of Annabeth's death and eventually, all the fighting campers honoured the death of Annabeth for Percy, sharing his rage. The battle was won, but there was still much to mourn for.
Percy returned to Olympus after Zeus called up few campers, granting them a wish each for leading the battle. Percy knew Zeus could not bring back Annabeth, so with a whimper, he requested immortality to serve his father.
Seven years later, Percy has returned to Camp Half-Blood, unable to cope with the stresses of immortality.
