Ludwig limped down the street, his cane tapping against the sidewalk being the only noise besides the almost quiet wind. It was usually quiet in this town, this far from Rome. It almost makes me miss the frontlines, he mused. Suddenly he began to faintly hear singing. It was beautiful, rising and lowering with the wind. Curious, he followed it to a shop at the end of the road. It was a flower shop. In flowing letters, it stated the name: Feli's entered the shop was bright due to the windows in front. He was surrounded by a rainbow with shades of every color He walked around a corner of bright red flowers to find the source of the singing. In the back were two more windows. One of them shone onto a beautiful man, making him look like an angel. He wore a white shirt and jeans with a long light green apron. He must have noticed Ludwig out of the corner of his eye, because he spoke.

"Hello! I'm Feliciano. Welcome to my flower shop!" The man put the finishing touches on the flowers before turning his body towards him and rubbing his hands on his long apron. He stretched out his hand.

"What would you like to buy today?"

"I've never bought flowers before."

"Would you like me to pick something for you?" Ludwig nodded. He instantly began to bustle around the shop, talking to himself.

"Hmm...cosmos will be good...can't have cosmos without Geraniums...peony

should help...and to top it off, yarrow." He took the flowers over to a table with transparent, green paper and ribbons. He began to arrange them. As soon as he was done, he brought the flowers over to him. Most of the flowers were blue with small blooms of tiny white flowers. Somehow, just looking at the flowers set him at ease, like the man's smile. He smiled.

"Thank you. How much is it?" Feliciano shook his head.

"It's your first time here, so it's free." Ludwig smiled, startling the man.

"You have a pretty smile. You should show it more. Smiling always helps other people feel at ease. Ludwig thought about it before nodding and beginning to take his leave.

"Please come again!" Ludwig smiled again.

"Perhaps I will," he said to himself before leaving.
