DISCLAIMER! I DO NOT OWN THE SERIES!

I am rewriting the story- same story, same characters, just written a little better

As the sunlight beamed through the waves it was absorbed by the solar panels giving an extra boost to the engines. The unmaintained engine malfunctioned due to a worn out gear, crashing into the bay area unregistered to the base computers. Emergency warning systems activated searching for the nearest person to find help. Only two life signs on board and both were in stasis for prolonged periods of time. Running diagnostics, the system chooses one over the other.

Time 2:23 am, the system announced, SubjectWCS1- Name Shinchoku- priority reason- health, action- emergency awakening. The stasis pod opened, assisting WCS1 with an oxygen rise to comfortable functioning.

"WAAaaaH!" The yawn echoed through the empty room, hands waving in the air before they grabbed to the sides of the pod as she struggled to lift her head "That felt longer than usual. System! RELEASE!" a clicking noise followed giving her le-way to lift her torso up, wires dragged across the padded surface.

She struggled to look across the room at the screen.

Wait.. that can't be right...

Yusei crawled back through the maintenance duct, dragging his toolbox. The police office ran wild with mechanics trying to repair the system that began malfunctioning in the middle of the night. Trudge still didn't know how to feel about this guy, yet with time the police became reliant on his expertise as far as getting him a sponsorship for a course to attain a higher level mechanical license. Heck, he built duel runners out of scrap parts that have outdone many licensed models.

"How old is the hardware?" He sounded shocked as he whipped the dust off his face, the mark on his face was a visible trait.

"Dunno, is it bad?" This really isn't my topic.

"Not really," The boy struggled to explain, "Its cutting edge in an old model kind of way."

"What is that supposed to mean? Can you fix it?" Please don't say what the rest have been saying.

Yusei's eyes widened, "There is nothing to be fixed, officer. It's perfectly functional," Just as Mina said - he pulled the lost puppy look too well, made him look like a five-year-old.

"That's what all of the experts we called say."

Speak of the devil, thought Trudge as Chief Mina Simington walked through the door.

She handed Yusei a set of schematics, "Apparently there is a sort of maintenance room behind this wall panel, can you please see if it can be opened? We will try to keep things going here. I trust Officer Trudge to be of assistance."

"Why do I have to tag along with him?"

"And don't be shy to order him around, Yusei!"
