A/N: So, this is my first story on fanfiction, so sorry if it sucks. So I hope you like it!
DISCLAIMER: I do not own Pokemon.
The snow was pouring down fiercely. It was already up to his knees. He was standing there in deep thought. How he hated being up here. It was literally a living hell. He's surprised he hadn't contracted pneumonia or frostbite seeing how the usual temperature is at least -25ºC (-13ºF). His only source of heat was his Charizard, but the winged creature could be kept out too long or his flame at the tip of his tail would go out. The same went for all of his other Pokemon, if they were out of their Pokeball too long, they'd freeze to death. However, despite the trainer's constant protests, his Pikachu stayed out of its Pokeball to be with its master.
He hadn't had a challenge in ages either. No one could make it up the mountain without giving up because it was "too cold" and they "couldn't handle" the "extreme temperatures." He'd like those people to say that to his face. He had been up there ever since he beat the Pokemon League which was about 3 years ago. There are at least 2 snowstorms per month on average and being at the mountain's peak isn't helpful.
He felt forgotten. He felt his purpose of being on top off this intimidating landform was no longer there. He felt people didn't want to challenge themselves, to climb to the top and face him. He felt…as if someone was coming. Turning around, a figure could be seen through the harsh storm. Soon enough, the man revealed himself. He wore short black pants that went an inch past his knees, and red jacket, a hat that resembles an Ultra Ball, red and white slip on shoes (no socks), and a blue PokeGear on his right wrist.
"You must be Red!" he yelled out loud. "My name is Ethan! I defeated the Kanto Pokemon League and they suggested me to climb up here and challenge you!" Red's stood there in shock. He couldn't believe it. A challenger actually got to the top of Mount Silver to challenge him. Not only that, but Ethan didn't sound the least bit cold.
"I heard a lot about you. You're a legend! I couldn't help but charge here to battle!" the trainer with the Ultra Ball cap continued. Red was smirking. He could tell this guy was pretty strong. For once in his time up here, his adrenaline was keeping him warm. "So, what do you say?" Ethan asked.
Red only had one thing to say. "…!"
A/N: Sorry that was so short. I'm going to write more stories though, but right now, I just wanted to jot the down real quick.
Since this is my first story, reviews would be greatly appreciated. Same goes for constructive criticism and all of that nice stuff.
Anyways, thanks for reading this! Peace! -legend
