This idea wouldn't leave me alone once I found out that Red Alert was scripted to die in TF:TM. According to the Teletraan website: "The original storyboards for The Transformers: The Movie depict a death scene for Red Alert which was not included in the finished film. Red meets his end as he is shot in the back by Skywarp after helping Ultra Magnus, Tracks and Sideswipe attack Devastator. Once again, the illuminati try to cover up his death."

Prepare for a sad one. "Transformers" ain't mine.

oOo

Sideswipe watched his fellow Lamborghini go down in a state of shock. It seemed to be happening in slow motion, although later he'd recall it as happening all too fast. He couldn't believe that Red Alert, of all mechs, had just gone down, although he'd been told that some of the ranking officers were already deactivated - for good.

"Sideswipe, you idiot, focus!" Tracks elbowed him in the side. But Sideswipe couldn't focus on the battle just then. It was all too much. Not really knowing what he was doing, he dragged Red Alert behind a large pile of rubble, praying to Primus none of the 'Cons would see them.

"S-Sideswipe?" Red Alert gasped, voice catching in his modulator and optics flickering.

"C'mon, Red, stay with me," Sideswipe urged. "C'mon... you're a Lamborghini! You can't be hurt from something like that!"

"I'm not a warrior... I'm not..."

"You did fine, Red. Just stay online til I can get you to First Aid."

Red Alert shuddered, smiling slightly in a sad way. "I'm... dying, aren't I?"

"No... no,you'll be fine. You'll be fine. Please, be fine. With Ratchet, Ironhide, Prowl, and you gone, who'll Sunny and I pick on?"

"Funny... I always thought you and your brother hated me..."

Sideswipe forced himself to smile for Red Alert's benefit. "Never."

"Tell Inferno... Tell Inferno..."

"Sh. I know, Red. It's okay. I know."

Smile broadaning weakly, Red Alert offlined his optics, body going limp and gradually fading to grey in another Lamborghini's arms.

Sideswipe gaped at the corpse for a second. He'd never been close to the paranoid Security Director, sure, but... this was just so wrong! Nobody offlined a Lamborghini and got away with it! Wailing like some sort of animal in his grief, Sideswipe jumped out with newfound strength.

Skywarp would pay.

This was short, but it took forever to write because it's just so SAD!
