You did this.
Authors Note: I never planed on writing a little one-shot, but I wanted to upload something while I worked on a different story. Reviews would be nice, but I don't mind.
I only own the plot, JK Rowling owns all the rest, the good stuff.
Draco was pacing the room, he was frustrated about not being able to see her, and sure it was his fault she got hurt. Ron sat across the room staring daggers at him while Harry patted his back telling his that Hermione would be fine. Draco could feel Ron's eyes burning holes in the back of his head, and it was getting too much for him,
"If you have something to say Weasley, say it!" he spat
Ron leapt up from his spot on the chair and marched over to Draco, his fists balled, ready to hit at any moment,
"You hurt her! You did this!" he shouted and his fist collided with Draco's jaw, "You did this..." he wept.
Draco did the one thing he never did in public, he cried.
"I know, I'm sorry." He whispered.
Harry took both Ron and Draco by the arms toward the seats. He sat them down on either side of him, patting their backs to calm them. After a while a doctor came out of her room. The three men shot up and looked at the doctor,
"She is stable for now, she wants to see Draco." Draco stepped through the doors and saw Hermione. She was very pale and weak. He rushed to her side, and took her hand and kissed it. She smiled a little,
"I'm so sorry, I did this to you, I never wanted this to happen... I love you." He whispered.
"I love you too Draco, and its not your fault, these things happen, I just want you to know that." she replied with a weak, hoarse voice.
Draco pressed his lips to her forehead and sat with her until see slipped away to a better place, a place where nothing could hurt her. He was never the same after Hermione's death; he blamed himself for everything, when in fact nature was the one to blame. He would carry this pain until he too slipped away at the age of 80, finally able to be with her again.
