Dear Journal,

Remember that friend you made on the first day of pre-school? You know the one, you barely even know them and you declare that they're your best friend without hesitation and you play like you've known each other forever, no secrets and no lies. It's just so easy because you don't have to pretend to be someone you're not just for them to like you because they don't care. They simply want a friend.

I think everyone had one of those friends, I know I did. Maybe the reason you become friends like that so fast when your young is because you just want someone to understand you, to know what it's like not to be able to do anything and to tell your 'deep dark' secrets. Your best friend is just like you and you say that nothing can make you hate each other.

Then high school happens.

You're enemies on the first day.

I thought Wyatt Halliwell was my best friend but now he won't even look at me after twelve years of friendship. It's like I lost a brother and no matter what I do he won't talk to me and I can't understand why! Over the summer he just changed and now I'm doomed to spend the first day of high school by myself; without him. I hate growing up.
