As Kellin sat up in bed, unable to catch sleep for the third night, he decided he'd call over Vic. He fingered the table beside his bed blindly until he found his phone. Luckily the screen was bright so he could see the keys. He dialed Vic's number and put the phone to his ear. It rang three times before Vic answered. "Yup?" He answered tiredly, his deep voice soothing Kellin slightly.
"Uhh...I haven't told anybody yet...Kate left m-me...wi-with...Cope-Copela-and..." Kellin stuttered fervently, unable to speak further. He stumbled over gibberish words and finally broke down crying. "I just need somebody to talk to..." He managed, hanging up and falling back, sobbing yet again. This had been the routine for the past three nights since she left the poor man.
Vic felt terribly horrible for his friend, the man who he'd immediately fallen in love with upon the first time he met the short guy. He hurriedly rushed to get ready, and ran outside. Kellin lived nearby, so Vic just ran. Ran as fast as he could to get to his poor friends home. That lonely, desolate looking place, all the lights turned off, it was only 7 PM. He stopped at the door and pushed it open.
Kellin heard him coming and forced himself up, and downstairs. Upon seeing Victor, he broke down and cried, pulling Vic close and crying onto his shoulder. "Thank you so much for coming..." Kellin managed, looking at the Mexican. Vic shrugged. "Anything for you, especially in these times. I'm so sorry she left you with Copeland..." Kellin couldn't speak, he was crying too hard. "It was only two days ago!" He yelled, gripping Vic's shirt in his fists, sobbing hard.
Vic held Kellin close, in an embrace. One which Kellin probably didn't feel as such an important moment. But he did. Kellin's sobs slowed down to whimpers after a few minutes of feeling Vic's warm presence in his house. It seemed to brighten up. Vic realized this, and looked down at the shorter man. "Kellin?" He asked quietly. Kellin looked up at him. "Yeah?" Now he was just crying. No noises, he could talk now. "Kellin...feeling a bit better?" "Yeah...kinda...cause you're here and..." Had he really just said that?
Vic blushed. "Oh...heh...thanks..." He muttered, smiling. He reached behind him and turned the lights on. "Kellin...I have something to tell you...maybe now is the time..." He went over to the couch, having to let go of Kellin reluctantly. He sat down, and patted the spot beside him. Kellin obeyed, sitting so close to the tan colored man. "What's it, Victor?"
Vic blushed more. "Well...I...um." He couldn't urge himself to say it. "I have something to tell you too, Mr. Fuentes..." Kellin reffered to him formally. "But you go first, you're having trouble saying it, I'm curious." Kellin grinned slightly. It wasn't forced.
Vic sighed. "I...l-love...you..." He hid his face behind his hand, groaning slightly. "You seem...embarrassed..." Kellin looke dover at him and chuckled. "Vic, Vic, Vic..." He shook his head. "Victor. Vincent. Fuentes...I love you too, stop worrying." He said without trouble. Vic hesitated, before pulling Kellin closer and kissing him. That was all Kellin had wanted. To hear Vic say he loved him. He knew this would be perfect. He wanted it to be. He clutched Vic's shirt as he had before, and smiled into the kiss.
Everything was better.
